A fulsome melting pot of pop, country, soul, blues and a 'sour-faced woman', stirred by a hand steeped in stroking an acoustic guitar to within an inch of its life - and a voice to follow, sculpted with James Taylor's chisel and Cat Stevens' hammer.

notes

A musician and composer, James was born in Liverpool but now lives and works in London. He is a singer and songwriter who is performing regularly as a solo, acoustic artist, having been a vocalist and electric guitarist in many bands over several years.

His style is reminiscent of Jack Johnson, James Taylor, Paul McCartney, Glenn Tillbrook (Squeeze) and Cat Stevens. In recent times, he has played locations as diverse as New York, Los Angeles, Texas (Austin), London, Northern Ireland - and Liverpool! He has also written music for some short film projects, composed for a library music company and gained membership of PRS in the UK. His first release on Jahenca - "Sweetener" - was in response to the many requests he'd received from audiences asking for recorded material at his live shows.

A new album is due out in early 2007, to be followed by some promotional appearances in London and (hopefully) the US. "Sweetener" is an album of exceptional, acoustic-guitar pop music - ENJOY!
