Jake D was born in Karnplay, Nimba County, Liberia. He presently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. He is a song writer, singer, producer, and recording engineer who began his music career in early 1989 and has since then released and produced a few, but highly acclaimed CDs.

SUper !!!
author: Mamadou M'BamboulaM'boté !!!!! I love Jake D's songs because they sounds like Congolian traditional music. I am from deep in the heart of this amazing country and when I listen to "Banjay", I remember the music played by our wizard in our village . We danced until the dawn. After we left to hunt the Gazelle. But why are you talking about Cote d'Ivoire if you are from Liberia ? Could you translate to me in english the lyrics of "Banjay" when Jake pronouce "Banjay yo banjay kouwa " Moreover, I wonder what means "aka cote d ivoire aka abidja aka cote d ivoire aka yamoussouko ! Thanx to the WONDERFUL and AWESOME JAKE D !!!!!!!!!!!
I love your cd and I've been listing to it from back home.

This CD is so great that it has no CD that I can compare with 26C except, the one I heard on this same website, Naser Who Wee. I'm an Asian, even though I don't understand it, but it souds so great. Thanks for the hard work.
The CD from Liberia (Banjay) is a hidden treasure in a sea of one bass line
author: Thomas BankarlyI am an African music lover from Mali. I have never heard any music from Liberia before listening to Banjay and the others on the Kinzo Music Works' website. What a present surprise! This Liberian CD is definitely a hidden treasure in a sea of many African music with one bass line now-a-days. This CD sounds very original, and the groove lines will most certainly command ones share of time and space on the dance floor. Keep up the good work.
