I am a one-man recording artist working out of the middle room of a one-bedroom apartment in Portland, Oregon. I live with my biggest fan (Brooke) and my littlest fan (James). My musical journey and identity has been walked on a long, twisting, intense, and occasionally inviable road, and has led to many projects, musings, and even careers (honk if you love music therapy). Through it all, I've kept my music sane (relatively) and in perspective (possibly) by writing, composing, and recording songs from my house. The music on the page represents the first music that I've considered fidelitous enough to sell to more than about five people (mom, brother, deaf guy, etc).
The Sleeping Giant is a collection of experimental folk songs arranged in 4 suites, each suite sharing ethereal but distinctive musical characteristics. In this, I hope that there is a balance between chaos and order, between improvisation and composition. The music has been in process for almost 4 years now, and I am glad to have a final version on disc and completely out of my head.
