Chicago's JaGoFF is the musical intersection of wherever waste dumps & abandoned factories meet the $5 lap dance and HAM radio. It is lo-fi. subversive, sweet soul polluted by lost weekends of sweaty booty, downtempo breakbeats and massive Detroit bass. Perversely honest, strangely beautiful and badass funky.

"JaGoFF, "There's one born every minute", titles their new cd as they busted into the scene with erotically hip, ghetto spankin, techno slammin, funkbreakin soundz. "JaGoFF is the musical intersection of wherever waste dumps & abandoned factories meet the $5 lap dance and HAM radio." They've brought their shows to recent T.H.O.N.G. parties, SubT, and also jumped into the Warped Tour. Charles Feelgood even threw them on his "Top 5 Picks" in Urb Magazine's "The Next 100" Issue earlier in the year. Try these new beats on and you won't want to take them off. "We are just starting to get this bitch out the door."

author: MC KravensGreat beats for rhymin ;-) and the vocals are irresistable, you just gotta move to it. Much Props from Holland\Mc K/ Ps Sound
Essential, outgoing, electric, and totally genuine.
author: Locale SundayJaGoFF sets an impressive stage for any artists who calls themselves "independent." Their finger to the man while simultaneously commanding the masses is nothing short of revolutionary. They've been featured artists by the Warped Tour as well as My Space's New York bash. Their raw 80's (and almost Prince-ish) approach to hip hop offers all the entertainment your eyes could grasp, meanwhile hitting you with deep political messages to fill your ear without you noticing. Their party vibe is essential, outgoing, electric, and totally genuine.
Much love to the new kings of funk!
author: KateFor starters, let me say that I haven't been this excited about a band in a long long time. JaGoFF is well on their way as one of the most influential bands in music today. Their balls out irreverent DIY ethic is not only respectable but nothing short of righteous in this sorry age of cookie-cutter one hit wonders. The fact that they have achieved such an amazing level of popularity and underground credibility without selling out to the corporate key holders is amazing to me. Music today is too much industry and not enough artistry... JaGoFF just raised the bar. Much love to the new kings of funk!
Impossibly deep funk...
author: Editor Review / C-NetImpossibly deep funk bass lines, crazy-eyed crew sing-alongs and a gritty bent put the Chi-town squad in post-Parliament territory. But this isn't just the orthodox funk of George Clinton's famed outfit. Between its rich harmonies and lyrical edge, it is everything from gospel to rap.
Class
author: mrNeilGrant - Dark Disco RecordsI second all of Esther's review. JaGoFF found me on myspace, which was a nice introduction. It still stands as the only time a musicians myspace has made me want to go buy. Effort, talent and programming skills are all on show on this album.
The funkiest album I've EVER heard!
author: Esther - Chocolate Starfish PromotionsThe first time I heard Jagoff was on myspace. Within seconds of Bump That Ass and I had to gather all my colleagues over to get them to listen in too, it was just so funking awesome! Noone should be without this album. You having a party that's not really happening? Just pop this album on and every ass in the room will be 'bumping' before you've even turned back to the party! Goddamn loving it!
Bump That A$$!!
author: stephanie100% funk perfection. :) Great job guys!
Rad. Made me want a hotdog.... really bad.

Finally a successer to George Clinton
author: Bokson Music Magazine (France) 04/05"Finally a successer to George Clinton ... the missing link between funk and hip-hop."
URB Magazine / July 2005!!!!
author: URB MagazineDark and funky, this album is a little bit Prince, a little bit Roy Davis Jr. and a little bit Disco D. Danceable and free, each song gets the ass shakin' a little bit more. The project is so sexy that if you haven't gotten any by the end of the closing song, "Baby FaTT, " you need a new face.
pretty much fly
author: teakeThis cd is full of ear tigers, the kind that get in and eat your brain and dance on the stem.

"YOU CAN'T KEEP A GOOD BAND DOWN"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
author: 5I just saw Jagoff last weekend, and they fricken' rock! The funk is back in a big way, with a cool mix and provocative lyrics and political undertones. The music industry managed to bring down the Rock, but DIY bands like Jagoff show "YOU CAN"T KEEP A GOOD BAND DOWN"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check 'em out, and remember how fun music used to be!!!!

I use Jagoff beats in my auto body shop for prepwork....
author: Walter Chron KiteThis is hot. Jagoff is lethal in high doses, beware! I use Jagoff beats in my auto body shop for prepwork.... (I also use it to BBQ my meat but that's another story) I simply put in "There's One Born Every Minute" and turn up the volume a bit....then I place the speakers near the auto we're stripping and after a few songs all the rust and paint are gone. Prepwork done, ready for paint! If left for too long the metal will bend and crack so be careful ho. Something about Jagoff and strippers (chemical stripper also I guess) will sonically blow the crap right out of you. Works well on your bong as well or... if your girlfriend doesn't eat enough prunes and or fiber or what not. Put some Jagoff in her speaking hole and voila....all cleared up. Highly recommended for all you silly little biiiiaches! Just don't play it around your carpet munching vegan girlfriend, she'll pimp smack you with the quickness! Hotness for your most moist interior! A hero in a world of cowards! ;-)
Charles Feelgood's "Top 5 Picks" - URB Magazine "Next 100 Issue" - April 2004
author: DJ Charles FeelgoodThese guys are really interesting. Some of their stuff is downtempo, some of it is uptempo booty house ... It's just really bizzare that these guys wrote this stuff. It's very underground ... the production is so good.
JaGoFF RULES!
author: ForrestJaGoFF is a perfect combination of old school Chicago SOUL and funky breaks!! There's so many posers out there fakin' the funk... 'bout damn time we had a crew from our hometown bringin' it back to the roots and representing like they should. JaGoFF RULES!
I cannot stop jammin' this!
author: MatthewI cannot stop jammin' this... This has got to be the quintessential summer anthem of all time! There's enough bass here to jar something loose! Dirty, gritty motorbooty bumpin' Detroit-style minimal techno with sweet, sweaty, old-school funk/soul vox to round out the edges... dizzamn! Where have you been all my life?
Big Rubber Funk-O-Matic Gets The Party Started
author: PrycelessJagoff brings those big fat Chicago beats and pheremone inducing basslines together with the atmosphere of a huge dance party morphing into a Caligulan orgy. This is the real deal, no imitations and no limitations. There's one born every minute, and Jagoff's just the crew to take them to the cleaners. Pump up the volume, work up a sweat, get the party raging and shake that thang to Jagoff.
JaGoFF is THE FUNK!
author: Chicago UndergroundFUNK used to be a bad word... Simply put, JaGoFF is THE FUNK! Not for the faint of heart ;-) One of the most crazy, in your face, sex charged, bass heavy, bowel shaking, funky azz (not to mention refreshingly satirical & politically incorrect) CDs I've heard - JaGoFF will bitch slap you into the stone-ages! (rating: fully erect)
