notes
Founded in 1999 in the back of a Tattoo shop owned by lead singer, Rev. Chad A. Wells, The Jackalopes have continually strived to carve their very own X into the foreheads of music listeners everywhere. Dealing in imagery ranging from sacred to profane, violent and sexy to downright silly, The Jackalopes are here to entertain you and provoke you and they push all the right buttons on their now classic first full length, "Jacksploitation!". The Jackalopes combine the dark and brooding elements of acts like Samhain, The Misfits, The Doors, The Damned and Christian Death with the revved up fury of Motorhead, Electric Frankenstein and early Metallica while combining lethal doses of Beach Boys, Beatles and Monkees inspired sing-along with the stage antics of early Kiss, Alice Cooper and Motley Crue! Throw in a heapin' helpin' of Social Distortion, Fear and Black Flag and top with copius amounts of Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Charles Manson and Anton LaVey and we're getting very near to the heart of the Beast! Coat the whole package in the world renowned, Lowbrow Art of the band's own Rev. Wells and we have the making of one HELL of a party!

author: FreaknuggetIt dosen't SOUND like Nashville Pussy but it FEELS like it if that makes any sense. Great album and recommended to anyone who loves heavy rock without impetus of intelligence

it' kicks ass
author: EvieLaStrangei am no afficinado reviewer or whatever, but this whole disc kicked my ass. i bought it from cd baby on a whim, thinking i needed to get some speed punk back into my life -- i so miss my passed life as a punker club kid -- and brother, lemme tell you I USED TO PAY 50 BUCKS A POP TO FEEL AS GOOD AS I DO LISTENING TO THIS DISC!!!the pristine 15 track wales, but so does the rest of this -- there is not a bummer on the entire thing. buy it (if it's in your "genre"). if your're disappointed, i'll buy it off ya -- that way my friends will keep their hands off my copy.
young suburban white guys who like the Ramones, very well done.
author: UnclvinyHard drinkin', hard rockin' (warning grown up lyrics!!!), this disc was recorded by young guys who party hard and it shows!, killer disc, I am a fan!!, track 10 "(I wanna) beer sandwich" says it all.
