John Isom was born in Belleville, IL in 1962. Raised in the midwest, he was always involved in music. His mother and grandmother played the piano mostly at home and church. John's earliest instrument was the drums which he started playing at age 5. By 4th grade he had begun to play the trumpet and 7th grade, influenced by Lynryd Skynryd and Eddie Van Halen, he picked up the guitar. Since that time his music repertoire has included performance of classical, bluegrass, blues, rock, metal, pop, country and christian. Currently, after many years of thinking about writing songs with uplifting messages, he finally has compiled a list of songs. These songs styles are wide ranging from intense rock to celtic sounds. The basis is the guitar which provides the vehicle to carry his message. May you be blessed by that music.
