Beautiful Piano Music
Ip Chui Han Amy (isisip) was born in Hong Kong. She started to play the piano around the age of 7. She listens to and was influenced by artists from Otis Spann, Charlie Parker to Kitaro and Sakamoto.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music of Boston, USA.
Amy describes the 7 tracks on this album:
1. My Lonely Road is about my personal life journey, there were moments of joy and I met different people and friends at different stages. However, most of the time one had to make decisions and face problems alone. Life is a lonely road for most of us...
2. Tears was created for the great Vincent Van Gogh. He is the greatest painter but his life was so tragic...The music is sad and emotional. One of my listeners said,"I have heard and felt the sadness in this piece but it was like happiness was hand in hand along with the sadness..."
3. The Lotus Flower is beautiful and elegant. It is a symbol of purity of the heart and mind. "The lotus flower grows in muddy water but rises above the water surface and bloom with remarkable beauty."
4. Shadow is like conversations with myself, it could also be like conversations between the sky and the ocean, between the moon and the rising sun or anything you might think of.
5. The Lover's Kiss captures a scene of beauty and romance, it is also touching and passionate. I had never felt this way before but now it has gone forever....
6. Moon tells an old story..mysterious...dark...haunting..
7. Time Travels (Back to Paradise) Imagine we are now travelling back in time to the peaceful world we used to live in, no wars, no poverty, no countries...
Her music touches the very deep emotions of human beings, being able to express feelings fluently through a medium is the greatest achievement of any great artist. Isisip is absolutely brilliant.

I think if you want to play a certain type of music really well, you have to live it.
Your music comes from your life experiences, your personality, your tastes and so on. If you work at it, you will eventually find your own style.

I interest boogie woogie, but I have see your soggs there on the side. Self I play piano and key board, but not so good as you can play. Wishing that all the people I love are looking at the sky too wherever they are... Wishing that the sky was like a river so I can see the reflection of their faces, though I already see them in every happy memory... Then I start thinking where did I start and where am I now... I just see various moments from my entire short life passing in front of me now... But wait, something is not right... All this happiness and sadness in my life, I didn't have a role in planning them... I am not taking any control of my life... The Lonely Road of my life, I am not the one who decided how it goes... I am not the one who paved it... I am not the one who placed these bumps there and there... I am not the one who put that twist and that sharp corner... But along the sides of the road, I see some new faces, so that’s where we met on the road of my life? But why are some of the faces I know are going away from the road? Don’t go away, please... But still they are walking away on the Roads of their lives, too. And that’s where we go apart, that’s where the distances get far... Come back please, I can't leave my road... But neither could they... So where does the road of my life go after that, who are the faces that I am not going to see again, and who are the new faces that will come into my life... Whose road is going to cross my road again? And whose road will go along with my road for an interval of my life... Please, The Paver of the My Lonely Road, have Mercy on my suffering soul...
