notes
Picture a group of young guys in front of an unmanaged yard or behind a stop sign in Neighborhood Somewhere, USA rap battling, this is a visual that is frequently brought to life everyday from coast to coast and abroad, however very few can actually, using rhythms and clever street slang, dismantle their opponent piece by piece. Now, meet Ishues. Since his days in Atlantic City/Pleasantville New Jersey honing his skills on the streets battling, fighting through the ranks to obtain the ultimate level of lyrical respect and supremacy, Ishues has been a fierce emcee not to be overlooked. Ishues, a continually expanding man that fights for the well-fair of underprivileged youth residing in impoverished areas of Athens, Georgia, his hometown, and anywhere his music reaches, entered the Hip-Hop community in Atlanta battling in some of the most treacherous scenes in the area, like Mic Club, Mic Aggression, R nation freestyle Friday , MC War, and Battle Lounge leading to obtaining a reputation as one of the most feared battle MCs in the south, it has been his work with Dreaded Mindz, a community uplift-ment project, and his work as a mentor and a community activist that has made Ishues more of an institution than an emcee. A leader and proven hit maker, as noted with the release of his first album on Atticasound called Reality Flow which garnered critical acclaim in underground circles throughout Athens and Atlanta winning Flagpole Magazine’s Music's Album of the Year and favorite cover art. Ishues’s career soared even further after the release; when KRS-One brought him on tour with him as his hype man, and it was there that Ishues began mastering the art of how to rock a crowd from the blast master himself.
Most recently however, Ishues has prepared to take his career to even greater heights, breaking ground on the Spoken Roar Entertainment and preparing for the release of his sophomore LP Civil Unrest, inspired in part by the problems plaguing the community that few even have the courage to discuss. Now, Ishues formula of meshing ear ringing production with rapid fire lyrics will not only elevate the youth but Hip-Hop in the process.

Social Worker
author: Lemuel LaRocheThis album is the future for Hip Hop. It brings reality to a perspective that we tend to overlook. Lyrics are sharps and clear. Productions are ear friendly. It's a DOPE album.
Civil Unrest
author: Jacob UmelIf you find yourself saying; I like those self beats, but the lyrics sucks and the rapping sucks, then this album is for you. The beats have the whole south sound and Ishues has the skill and intelligents to break the mold.
