Irma Yamaguchi (composer,arranger,vocalist,pianist,novelist)
Roberto Menescal,Oscal Castro Neves,Christos Hatzis,Zeca Pagodinho and many other mentors have admired her talent,composing,arranging,playing and singing. Through her really original approach,she has bridged the gap between classical and popular music with her innovative blending of world cultures. She has realized that compositions of great composers of the past is not always accessible for people in the modern era. She feels it's her mission to introduce a new interpretation to classical music for the lisner of today,with contemporary rhythms and musical feelings.
Since she had been always searching her own music, traveling, living and learning all over the world more than fourty countries.
In 2005, a first-line drummer and producer Teo Lima, who worked with Antonio Carlos Jobim,Dionne Warwick,Sergio Mendes,Caetano Veloso,Ivan Lins and many others, found out extraordinary talent of Irma.He produced her debut album released in 2007.with all his might, to get abroad her music all over the world.
In 2007, she made her world debut and started to perform in concerts around the world.
In 2007, her composition named "Per Dove?" (TRACK #14 of this album)were recognized as Honorable Mentions at Unisong International Contest,in USA.
In 2009,her composition named "Bossa Nova Canta"(TRACK #11 of this album) were recognized as Top Finalists at Unisong International Contest,in USA.
In October,2008,she recorded her second album,focused on her classical piano solo works.
