notes
Invisible Inc. is breaking new ground as it fuses Hip-Hop and Spoken Word with the musical improvisations of jazz. Using an innovative combination of live horns, laptop looping, emceeing, talkbox and more, Invisible Inc's debut CD presents all-original raps and tunes from this young, talented, trio.
Lead emcee George Watsky, is a National Brave New Voices Poetry Slam Champion. He was featured on "Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry" which aired on HBO. He has opened for Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Matisyahu, Lyfe Jennings, Bonnie Raitt, Michael Franti, Me'shell Ndegeocello. Watsky brings razor-sharp wordplay, a healthy dose of humor and a charismatic stage presence together with the occasional harmonica solo.
Producer/beatsmith/flutist/bassist and talkbox master Daniel Riera was awarded a merit scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music where he was selected into the competitive Music Synthesis major. As a composer and flutist, his work has been featured at the San Francisco Jazz Festival and the San Jose Jazz Festival. In 2004, he won a Young Jazz Composer Award by the Association of Songwriters, Composers and Publishers (ASCAP) in a juried national competition.
Beatmaker/trumpeter/keys player and emcee Max Miller-Loran is a Berklee College of Music trained musician where he received a merit scholarship for trumpet performance. He's a veteran of the Stanford Jazz Workshop and his solos have been featured on the Bay Area Jazz station 99.1 KCSM.
Miller-Loran and Riera were both members of the prestigious Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble of San Francisco where they shared the stage with many world-class artists. Together they contributed performances and original compositions to the 2005 release, "LJYE Live at Yoshi's," recorded at the world-famous jazz club.
The album, "Invisible Inc.," was selected as a "staff pick" at the legendary Amoeba Music in San Francisco upon its release and has been turning ears out ever since. With special guests such as gospel sensation Passion, DJ Funklor, jazz great Bennett Paster and others, Invisible Inc. is creating a brand-new, boundary-bending sound.

Awesome and unique
author: BrookeInvisible Inc.'s CD is filled with witty, well-worded lyrics with insightful and often political messages. The melodies are interesting as well, and very catchy. I also love the strong hint of humor that they add to many of their songs. Great CD!
Wonderful.
author: StephenInvisible inc's music is catchy and a bit humorous. Lyricist George Watsky has a unique flow and that may take some time to settle in. The beats are strong, as producers Max Miller-Loran and Daniel Riera, both being jazz musicians, have melded hip-hop and jazz wonderfully. It reminds me a bit of Shibuya-kei from the likes of Paris Match, though the rap obviously sets it apart. Most importantly, it is so damn refreshing. I especially like Where the Sidewalk Ends feat. Passion, Calling All Cars and In the Pocket. Check out their stuff if you’re looking for something that is above the masses.
Great sounds and lyrics
author: ClaraThis album has some refreshing sounds with their jazz/ hip-hop fusion. It's made even better with the great spoken-word-esque lyrics.
