notes
Fergus O’Farrell is the charismatic voice of one of the most compelling and influential groups to emerge from the Irish music scene in the 1990s. Their live gigs and eponymous album have influencened many of the current wave of innovative Irish singer/songwriters.
Interference are a group that cross all rock/folk/traditional divides with their string driven hypnotic sound and make a concert a truly moving experience.
RTE’s publicity rightly describes the band as "almost mythical, definitely legendary."
Music Guru Dave Fanning has said "Interference are the only band in Ireland I can't pigeonhole "
Their performance of their song 'Gold' in the film 'Once' has brought them to the attention to the American public for the first time.

Fantastic, stylistically varied album that seems to get better with every listening. Amazing that I - in the UK - had to source music by this outstanding Irish band through a US website!

Loved this cd as well as Interference Live In Dingle/© 2003 fergus O'Farrell (634479613296. I was so impressed with this band after seeing them perform at Radio City recently. Highly recommend.
Interference
author: Beth ParsonsI'm probably not a typical fan of this music, if there is one. 50 yr old Irish-American woman, but it is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Supreme musicianship combined with enormous heart. God love ya.
Interference
author: Alexey PetrovAs many people I've learned about Interference after the "Once" movie. When I've heard "Gold" in the film I thought it was a traditional Irish folk song and really liked it. But when I discovered that it was written in 21 century I was shocked! This song could be composed in 1968 by Neil Young for example, it is a masterpiece of today music and will not be forgotten in decades! What concerns the rest of the album, it should not be listened separately, I mean that the first song is Gold and the last one is Cain and Abel! Every music lover should heard this one, every song of it! It is not an album that will change the music world but it is pure, high music that is so rare today.
