notes
After the previously released âSchlafphase' was one of the best selling albums in the Elektrolux history, we're now proud to present Index ID's second longplayer entitled âExpedition'. Following on from the still large 12" âHorizont', comes this longawaited new album release, and be sure it is one to die for. Index ID aka Ralf Uhrlandt doesn't need a special introduction so we won't bother. Eleven tracks that epitomize Uhrlandt's very own sound and cover a wide range from several trippin' slow jams and downbeat tunes, swinging midtempo grooves and minimal techhouse business. An album that takes the genre defying Index ID style even further in a collision of many different ingredients. Even some string laden soundscapes and afro-tronic influences come in, engulfing some tracks more or less dreamily. Then again you have this overall dubby and atmospheric feel giving this album an added dimension while making way for some delicious funktified rhythms. âExpedition' is a sensational release of exceptional quality that both soothes your ears and still keeps that feet firmly on the dancefloor. One listen and you'll know why...

An Expedition of Quality Downtempo Tech
author: Jeff WoodallThis album by Index ID (Ralf Uhrlandt) will release you into an expedition of clean, upbeat, synthesized downtempo tech of unique melody for each track. It nearly grabs you to the dancefloor, but perfect listening downtempo background music to unwind with. Good bass undertones with some atmospheric and catchy synthesized beats. The tracks transition very well with others as if you're on an expedition of different episodes. I highly recommend this album as Ralf Uhrlandt has given it an original sound, a sound of quality downtempo talent that won't disappoint! Buy it!
