CD Title: You and I
Record Label: Figoro Music (Australia)
Style: Smooth Jazz
For a man who has travelled almost around the world, the saxophonist simply know as IGOR is one of the brightest smooth jazz talents around.
After learning the saxophone as a high school student in Moscow and learning his trade at the Conservatory of Music in Russia, IGOR moved to Australia and has become one of Australia's biggest contemporary artists. His latest release called "You and I" could make IGOR one of the best up and coming artists in the United States.
IGOR's style in some ways matches Kenny G's. On tracks like I Remember You and Another Star, IGOR shows he has feeling for the sensitive side of a song. He does this without all of the unnecessary notes that Kenny G sometimes gives so the inward feeling of the song comes through. In other areas, IGOR shows that he is more versatile than Kenny G.You and I presents all the diversity that will make IGOR the next international star. On Mr. Twister, IGOR shows he can play a funky groove as well as the best of them. IGOR can get down and bluesy with Another Day in Sydney and can be in a reflective mood in Shelly Beach. There are very few saxophonists who try to match the style of Kenny G. IGOR does more than match his style, he sets his own.
IGOR could be the next instrumentalist to have a worldwide following that could eclipse many of the other instrumental performers, such as John Tesh or Yanni. You and I has the potential and IGOR has the talent.

You & I
author: Talib VarawallaHello! Igor, Your Music is fantastic and divine. It was indeed a pleasure to meet you in Mumbai at the great I BELIEVE event.
The CD is awesome!
author: Patricia A McAdoo-DickThe CD is more than excellent! I couldn't have asked for better!
Music in the Universal Language of Love
author: DJ PadrecitoIGOR is a romantic. And "You and I" is a collection of smooth jazz rhapsodies in the universal language of love. One great thing about instrumental music is that, like love, it speaks all languages. IGOR speaks from his heart and the results will carry you away on a cloud.
IGOR brings HIS historical musical presence with utopian grace in many ways
author: Dr. Frank E DeDonaIGOR has the capacity to use his instruments like fine sable brushes musically and artistically suited to the likes of 'you and I'-i.e. 'first romance'-his talent allows the listener to discover his soul in many different moods...
Dutch: Fenominaal geweldig English: .......
author: Peteror translated ... abso*uckinglutely GREAT MUSIC. Thank God for Internet radio. In The Netherlands we are deprived of such great music. Only a few well-known artists are heard on very few (ONE!) regular (jazz)stations. Independent artists like IGOR (also check out Andrew Oh on this site if you like IGOR) are never heard here. Greeetz from Holland.
Smooth sounding saxophone.
author: Derick WinterbergI guess, technically, with three albums under his belt, IGOR shouldn't be listed under the New Artist category except for the fact that he will be new to most of the U.S. listening audience. Russia, Australia and a good portion of the Asian-Pacific world have already gotten to know him and his smooth sounding saxophone. I must first admit a cultural bias towards this new sax player. He hails from my home country of Australia. That being said, IGOR (no last name, not to be confused with any other saxman named Igor) has held his own through 3 albums. Firmly believing that each of his recordings should be a musical reflection of his life, IGOR celebrates this new millennium, with its new challenges and opportunities for his constantly expanding and reinventing musical style with the jubilant and life affirming excitement of his new albums.
One can compare his style with sax players as Dave Koz or Kirk Whalum.
author: Smooth-Jazz.deThis is a story of a Russian musician who emigrated to Australia to find his success overseas. His new album was recorded in Sydney and Bergamo, Italy in February 2003. Since April 2003 his new album "You And I" is available, released through Figoro Music. One can compare his style with sax players as Dave Koz or Kirk Whalum. He categorizes himself his music as smooth and silky. On the starter Sorry IGOR plays soprano and tenor saxophone accompanied by Vadim Galitsyn on keyboards and David Moyse on guitar. Vadim ("Vadgal") has recently made the film music for the Italian movie "Snaff" and supported the new release of the Italian group "Pooh". David Moyse is known as a member of the group "Air Supply", playing Adult-Rock and Soft Rock in the 80's. Currently he is playing Contemporary Gospel for Hillsongs. Sorry is a smooth melody with a great appeal.Another Star is a demonstration of IGOR's versatility. He plays soprano saxophone, keyboard and adds a perfect drum programming. He also arranged and produced this slow contemplative song.A Day In Sydney has a hooking melody line with an attractive rhythm. A real foot stumper.Luna Latina (Latin Moon) is IGOR's second slow masterpiece. A romantic melody on a Brazilian Bossa rhythm.I Remember You, an instrumental ballade with much heartfelt feeling will inflame the hearts of women. A further lovely ballade is You And I.Personally I prefer more up tempo pieces like Mr. Twister. Kevin Hikuroa on Gibson guitar, Yuri Terletsky on electric guitar and Vlad Shvetsov (Keyboard programming) add a perfect musical escort.Obviously this album is written for lovers as to shown up with First Romance.Shelly Beach is an emotional seashore trip. IGOR's soprano sax is the leading instrument with a sustained melodic contour.Flying Home and Everything I Have Is Yours are the final love songs for romantic lovers. This album is dedicated and made for the rose of Australia, for the lady of your heart. Enjoy it at the right moment.
IGOR has smooth jazz talent and I can see why he is very popular in his country.
author: Jeff CharneyIf you like Kenny G (which I do) that is what you are going to get on You And I. He sounds exactly like him! Tone, compositions, playing (except the circular breathing and length of the note held), everything sounds like “G.” Lots of soft, pretty, in fact even gorgeous ballads that would fit perfectly on Smooth Jazz radio.
