Recorded near my home in Chelsea Quebec, at James Stephens Stove Studios. Cover art by Joan Sutherland who paints in the Gatineau Hills. Lot of songs from a lot of trips . Work part of the year as a guide on expedition ships in the Arctic and Antarctic. Some of the songs are from these journeys.
I guess the most popular song however on this CD is Tiger Lily Road. It is a long and rambling journey into the Charlevoix region of Quebec , east of Quebec City , and a search for a moment in the past that is now of course unattainable.But the spirit of the thing remains so alive..
