notes
Take a great melody and combine it with hard rock riffs and driving rhythm.
The result is an aural assault that brings to mind the likes of Queen and Led Zeppelin with the contemporary sounds of bands like Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead. (VERY powerful. Must hear...)
As a songwriter and performer, Johnny Hyde's talent remains among the most celebrated in the southeast. A creative producer as well as musician, Johnny Hyde is consistently pushing the envelope of rock.
Although Hyde has experimented with instruments ranging from keyboards and samplers to cellos and violins, the core idea of a Johnny Hyde song has been simple (see the magic formula, above). Hyde remains, more than anything, a songwriter.
After catching the eye of Steven Hutton, the manager responsible for the rise of Kid Rock, Johnny Hyde signed a management deal with Hutton's Uppercut Management. Following his signing with Hutton, Hyde landed a major publishing deal with one of the world's premier publishing companies, Warner Chappell.
His second release, "Here Comes the Breakdown" continues to impress critics and audiences alike. The album also features tracks produced by Rick Parashar (Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Blind Melon).

Original and impressive
author: Tyler AWhen I bought this CD I hadn't really paid too much attention to the clips, just enough to know I wasn't getting a dud. When I actually listened to this CD I was blown away, as it is easily one of the best I have bought this year (between both store-bought and online purchases). With overtones of popular artists mixed with a very original sound, Johnny Hyde's album stands out. I'll be definately watching for new albums in the future.
yes, it's THAT good
author: jessiI could tell you that this CD is absolutely spectacular and it still wouldn't be enough. A word of advice: don't loan this one out; you'll never see it again.
This band has a great sound. I want to hear more.
author: Jon - PTC GeorgiaGreat songs on this album. I loved the cover of "Tainted Love". Overall sound is similar to Monster Magnet. Vocals remind me a little of Ozzy. I've never heard this band on the radio, but they should be. All around this is a fun album to listen to. I keep replaying it over and over. Favorites: Pop is Dead, No Regrets, My Inspiration, (already mentioned Tainted Love)

Listened to over and over and over ... LOVE it!
author: Kenneth LowyVaried sonic moods, excellent guitar and overall musicianship all served up on a 5" silver reflective disc from the future!
Brilliant! Very strong.
author: Tracy StoryI've anticipated this album for a long time, and was not let down in any way. Johnny Hyde is one of the strongest vocalists and songwriters that I've heard in a long time and that fact is undeniably represented on Here Comes the Breakdown. While the bulk of the material has a harder edge than the The Red Light is Always On, there is still a good variety of styles which displays the versatility of this artist. Breakdown and No Regrets are good solid rock tracks, establishing an overall feel for the album. Just to let you know that there is so much more to him, we move on to the insanely well crafted Sad and then Strange Days. I could go on itemizing, but suffice to say, it's the best music I've heard recently from any unsigned band, and it gives most of the top names a real run for their money.
Absolute ass-kicking!!!
author: JakeThis is the best piece of absolute-ass-kicking rock I've come to listen to in the last years! Brilliant songwriting, heavy riffs, melodic parts... Listen to it 10000 times, this CD will absolutely never become boring! Better grab it before its too late!
