notes

Hybrid Ice captivated audiences for years with their style and musicianship.

And now…they are doing it again.

The Pennsylvania-based rock group toured endlessly playing cover songs and originals in clubs and concert halls across the Eastern Third of the United States.

Their 1982 debut album was heralded as nothing short of ‘amazing’ and spawned the hit "Magdelene" which garnered them considerable airplay.

A follow-up album entitled "No Rules" was released in 1988.

Years later, the national recording group ‘Boston’ re-recorded “Magdelene" and released it on their "Walk On" album.

In 1998, Hybrid Ice stopped performing as a band.

Then in 2000, a British label re-released the 1982 debut album on compact disc. The release and subsequent website fed a hungry fan-base wanting more from the group.

In 2002, a Reunion tour was organized with the five original recording members of the band…Chris Alburger, Rusty Foulke, Rick Klinger, Robert Richardson and Jeff Willoughby and it was a huge success.

Today, they continue playing a very limited number of dates each year, performing classic covers like Aerosmith, Boston, Foreigner, Kansas, Styx, and Led Zeppelin as well as Hybrid Ice originals that audiences have come to know and love such as Magdelene, On We Go, Never Comin Back, Scars On My Heart, It’s Only Love and Do You Believe In Rock N’ Roll.

The band is currently working on their third CD which they plan to release in spring 2008.

This album is a must! Their songs all seem to have a hint of Styx and Kansas in them.
