An acoustic guitar style that is intricate yet spontaneous. A deep baritone that can dance, growl, croon, keen, whisper or yodel as the mood dictates. Musically intriguing with an indigenous beat undercurrent.

* ABOUT THE SONGS *
"JOE SKY", a rock ballad that explores our social conscience about war, from the mind of an Indian fighter pilot.
"BRIGHT EYES", up-tempo, tuneful memories of love (spent 5 months on Nashville's "The Phoenix FM Radio)
"AWAY FROM ME", powerful stuff, acoustic/electric rock.
"FINDING TIME", mellow vocal...clean guitar, thoughtful...moving.
"MAKE ANOTHER LAW", funky blues observation. How did more than 500 Indian nations live in relative peace without laws,
compared to the rampant violence in America's law-filled society today? Great music & convincing lyrics.
"CUSTER'S GOLD", a warrior longing for his wife... folkrock format.
"GILA WIND", very latin groove, unique vocal styling.
"HAWKS & HARES", pure acoustic folk with a wry twist that will leave you smiling.

In the vein of Dylan, Kristofferson, Cash...
author: AnnieYou know the feel of that favorite pair of soft and worn jeans that fall somewhere between perfectly sexy and beautifully imperfect? That's what this feels like... but like the way those jeans fit your own body best, in the most unique way. From the honest lyrics and warm, inviting vocals to the understated elegance of the instruments and production, this cd is one that I'll keep within reach and right next to my copy of Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, directly next to my Chris Cornell, Deadman and Johnny Cash cd's.
Excellent Instrumentals and production
author: CarlosUnfortuntely, I must have been asleep at the wheel when I ordered this CD. I've heard some bad vocals before, but Mr. Hunter's vocalizations were just painful to hear. My apologies for perhaps being insensitive, but this is just one man's opinion... and his wife's too. I threw away the CD after listening to it.
Great Vocals!
author: AnnetteHunter has a unique strong voice. He sings with passion and belief. This CD clearly for those of deep thought.
In this world of glitzy commercialism, Stephen Hunter's voice is real.
author: Ron Sowell (Musical Director, "Mountain Stage Radio Show" On PThe songs on "Finding Time" resonate from an honest heart. While others strive for the top of the charts, Stephen Hunter struggles to tell the truth.
