notes
Critics hailed the first album by this accomplished flute and harp duo, saying "the playing throughout is exemplary......(the music) sounds custom-built for the artists". Now Lee Volckhausen Humphreys and Moya Wright have released their second album, which is an intriguing blend of audience favorites and new and hauntingly beautiful original works and transcriptions recorded here for the first time. Their choice of repertoire reflects the influence of their years spent in the Far East, as the two artists first formed a duo in 1981 while they were both Principal players in the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Their duo has performed to critical acclaim throughout the Far East and Europe, and their first album "Chinese Music for Flute and Harp", recorded in 1984, brought them international recognition.
