notes
The Fricker-Nicker Sessions was completed in August of 1991 at Nevessa Production and Dutchess Community College Studios. Chris Andersen engineered and with The Hour produced Everytime, Celebrate the Rain and Heading For the Way Way Out. For these three songs Russ Irwin played keys, Mike Mulvey played bass, and Per Wikstrom played percussion. The rest of the tunes were engineered by Jim Fricker and produced by Fricker, Mike Nickerson and The Hour: Carey Harmon-drums/percussion/vocals, Marshall Madow-guitar/harmonica/vocals and Matt Turk- guitar and vocals . All songs are written by The Hour.
Some of the music on Fricker-Nicker was developed when the band was living on the lower east side of Manhattan. Others were written in Woodstock, NY and at the Arrowhead Ranch.
Fricker-Nicker was The Hour's second full length album originally released in cassette form. Since all of our cassettes have worn out, we reintroduce The Hour and The Fricker-Nicker Sessions digitally on cd.

The Fricker-Nicker Sessions is pure magic. Ear candy for your soul.
author: Ken SchneidmanThe late 80's produced a number of great bands out of New York City, and The Hour rates among the best of them. This album, recorded mostly in Woodstock, NY features Matt Turk, Marshall Madow & Carey Harmon with special guest Russ Irwin on keyboards. From the opening beats of "Night & Fog" through the epic "Heading For The Way Way Out", The Fricker-Nicker Sessions is pure magic. As ambient, energetic and fresh sounding as Crosby, Stills & Nash in their heyday. Ear candy for your soul. A "must have" for anyone in love with music.
