notes

With his smooth and seductive voice complemented by world class Jazz Musicians, Christopher Hopkins has released "I'll Be Seeing You", a 15 track collection of Jazz favorites with fantastic new arrangements.

Refreshingly understated, Christopher spans over two and a half heartfelt octaves of pure listening pleasure.

With his dynamic stage presence and seductive baritone voice Christopher Hopkins has entertained audiences from San Jose Civic Light Opera to Carnegie Hall. Christopher has performed as guest solo artist with world class Orchestra's around the world including the Minnesota Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic, Hannover Radio Philharmonic, and Grand Teton Music Festival.

Upon moving to Minneapolis, Christopher made his living as a professional cabaret entertainer. He was selected to sing with the Minnesota Opera and was soloist for such esteemed choral ensembles as the Dale Warland Singers and Plymouth Music Series.

At age 26 Christopher opened his own image design company, now called ReVamp! salonspa. His talent and on-air charisma won him repeat appearance on "Oprah" as well as other national talk shows. He currently is the regular "Makeover Guy" for the KARE-11 "Today Show," and can be heard on the local drive time radio program "The Lori and Julia Show" dispensing hilarious and sometimes controversial fashion and beauty tips causing near collisions in rush hour traffic.

His debut solo album was nominated amongst such notables as George Michael, Rufus Wainright, and Sandra Bernhard, for the GLAM Awards in New York City. He was the featured soloist for a PBS televised concert conducted by Maestro Eiji Oue and soloed for a third engagement with the Grand Teton Music Festival for over 12,000 attendees in summer 2003. Christopher debuted in Europe in 2003 with the Hannover Radio Philharmonic and Braunschwieg Classix Music Festival.

Beautiful voice, lovely songs, and very sexy, seductive, and romantic.

  • Listen to this One and then Tell Me How Much You Love It

Everyone loves a crooner, and a crooner who phrases like a jazz singer and rides the music like a surfer on a wave, is even better. And he rides that wave balanced between technique and emotion, never losing sight of one in favor of the other. This CD is hopelessly romantic without being schmaltzy, emotionally honest without being cloying. It's also a pleasure to listen to again and again. His voice is rich, clear and his diction is excellent -- think old school, think the Velvet Fog. This listener found himself listening to these standards, most of which he knew almost by heart, as if for the first time. Hopkins has the pipes and the discipline to deliver something new and sensational with each song. Can't praise this CD enough. One listens and then one sighs with longing.

I just received Christopher's CD and love it. I bought it "sight unheard." Sometimes I do this and am unlucky. This time I hit the jackpot. Every song is great and Chris' interpretations excellent. It goes into my romantic mood section.
