Are you looking for high-energy traditional or comtemporary Celtic music? The Homespun Ceilidh Band can deliver just what you need! We will get your feet moving with our "get up and dance" Celtic music. We are known for our lighthearted and fun approach to performances as well as our distinctive "big band" Celtic sound. On Home with the Homespun Ceilidh Band, our second album, we continue the lively pace we set on Spinning Reels and mix in a few original tunes composed by band members along with the enthusiastic performances of traditional Scottish and Irish dance music our audiences love.
From familiar reels, jigs, strathspeys, and marches, to the less common an dro, and a bransle, we'll make you want to get up and move. Put down the coffee and turn up the volume if you need a pick-me-up. We'll get your blood pumping. With fiddles, whistle, flute, recoder, bouzouki, viola de gamba, hammered dulcimer, guitars, cittern, and two bodhrans, we've got an unmatched sound that breathes fresh life into a timeless style of music that has already brought joy to generations.
The CD booklet includes measure counts for those who wish to use this recording for set dances.
