Album Notes

Homeland, a quartet of central Ohio musicians, performs a unique brand of progressive rock combined with a Celtic influence. They mix the sounds and rhythms of the Anglo-Celtic music of Scotland and combine it with energetic American rock. The members of the band consist of Scott McGillivray fronting the band on guitar and vocals. Trent Crace providing percussion and vocals, Rob Koogler on bass guitar and background vocals, and Ric Smith on fiddle and background vocals. Performing mostly in the central Ohio area, Homeland entertains audiences with music that could be described as "folk rock." Much of their repertoire is based around a mix of Celtic originals, bawdy drinkin' tunes, traditional Irish songs, and a few off the wall covers, moving listeners to clap their hands, stomp their feet, or dance a jig to a song they've never heard before.
