The Group
Hollywood|Kill is a completely self sufficient group that writes, produces, records and mixes their music at the H|K Studio in Beverly Hills, CA. Hollywood|Kill has just finished a new album entitled Sinema!, and a new video for the single “Fast life”.
ANONIMOUS (vocals and production) of Japanese and Irish decent both raps and sings. His creativity and originality has been compared to the likes of Tom Waits, Outkast, and the Gorillaz. Anonimous uses his voice to create the characters that inhabit the dark world of H|K.
KGEE (vocals) was raised in Nicaragua and Los Angeles. She sings and raps fluently in English and Spanish. Un-jaded by Hollywood, she maintains her girlish innocence… an innocence that is never mistaken for weakness.
The Sound
H|K’s style of music is a dark and cinematic blend of Hip Hop, Blues, Electronic, Latin, and Rock. H|K is something completely brand new, but at the same time feels classic.
The Look
Their look is a mix of classic designer fashion, chic Rock, and Modern Goth.
The Album
The new album Sinema! Can be described as “Cinematic Hip-Hop”. Sinema! tells a story, and the listener can almost visualize scenes from a motion picture. This is the soundtrack to the H|K lifestyle. And just like the lifestyle, their music is complex in structure, but simple to understand and appealing to the masses. H|K documents the experiences Anonimous and KGEE have had.
On Sinema! Anonimous’s raps range from soberly aggressive (“Everywhere That I go”), to a drug induced drawl (“I Wanna’ Leave The party…with You”), to eerie whispers (“What’s your Secret?”). His singing is bluesy and psychedelic with a nod to early punk.
KGEE’s raps range from sweet and innocent to deadly, deadly poison. Her singing style is jazzy and bluesy sometimes dabbling in 50’s pop nostalgia. Some verses are sung/rapped in Spanish.
Hollywood|Kill has the power to move and inspire beyond the notion that money and material possessions are everything. They have developed an exquisite and unique sound …
