notes
"Lyrically savvy and vocally gifted, Amy Henderson displays a rare grasp of vocal nuances, harmony, and control. Her voice is powerfully clear with excellent balance as she delivers superbly written prose. I'd love to tell you that she sounds similar to Alanis Morrisette but that wouldn't be giving Henderson enough credit. She's better."
"Simon Santiago creates a solid foundation of rhythm and rhyme with his outstanding acoustic guitar work."
- Review of Merry Go Round, Metronome Magazine, March 2003
Amy Henderson and Simon Santiago are the founders of the acoustic based moody, melodic, alternafolk band known as HOLLOW. With influences from many different genre's, Hollow's music is akin to artists like Patty Griffin, Poe, Jellyfish, Jonatha Brooke, Radiohead, Suzanne Vega & Portishead.
Produced and Engineered by Rich Durkee, Merry-Go-Round is full of guest performances from Russ Lawton, Ken Clark, Jake Armerding, Jake Shapiro, Gordon Stone, Lou Spagnola, Mike Bean and more! Most of Merry-Go-Round was recorded at Mixed Emotions Music in Middleton, MA, all except for the piano and vocal tracks for Love Her, which were recorded at Long View Farm, North Brookfield, MA.

Solid, should be signed.
author: Jenn Mottram - NomasonhaThis CD is short, only around 35 min or so. But my god, this is of such high quality, you'll start stalking them to get them to put out more music. Poignant, vivid, and real. The songs are all gut-honest in their approach and their expression of truth. Not to mention the music is well crafted and floats in the back of your mind long after the songs are done. The turns of phrase are pure poetry, worthy to stand on their own. It is so rare to hear something this valuable, a diamond of sound found in a music world dominated by head-banging metal snarls. This has a permanent place in my CD changer. Well worth it.
