A FAMILY RUNS THROUGH IT

Fronted by songwriter Tito Uquillas, The Hipwaders issued their first children's music album, "The Smile Project" in 2004. The album received a Parent's Choice Award that year and was quickly followed up in 2005 by "The Hipwaders", the band's official debut. The band was nominated by XM Satellite Radio as one of the best new kid's' music acts of 2005 and the album earned another Parent's Choice Award for the band in 2006. In 2007, The Hipwaders were invited to perform at the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago. Their follow-up album, "Educated Kid", was ranked #5 on the "Fids & Kamily" poll for 2007 and the title track reached #1 on XMKiDs.

The Hipwaders approach of not "talking down" to children has gained them fans of all ages who appreciate music that is fun, upbeat, and rocks!

    My 3 year old son loves this band, he loves to see them LIVE at the Fairfield library, the Solano County Fair, and other events. But you know what, I like these songs too, this band is great.

    My 2 year old daughter just LOVES this CD. The songs get her in the move to sing and dance. It has become a ritual for us to play this CD every morning to get us up and moving for the day. Great job!

    We absolutely love this Cd!!!! My 3 year old is addicted and wants to play The Hipwaders every minute of the day!!! Press repeat Mummy, press repeat!!!! The lively catchy songs are extremely groovy and you can't help wanting to sing along and dance your socks off!!!! We definitely recommend this creative, brilliant Cd to all our friends!!!!
