notes
Progressor (Uzbekistan) http://www.progressor.net : "It's been quite a while since I've heard such a profound and expressive album of heavy progressive music as this. "Dilemma's" is original from head to toe, coming with not even the lightest trace of commerciality, to my great pleasure. "A Social Grace" by Psychotic Waltz, Iced Earth's "Burnt Offering" and "Sophisticated" by Sieges Even can be named as rough points of comparison, but only with great reservations, because the conformity is just barely perceptible, touching only some small stylistic nuances, which are common for all bands performing a cerebral, hyper-complex, uncompromising Prog-Metal with no keyboards. "
Metal Coven (Danemark) (www.metal-coven.dk) : “I am sure you will find something there to satisfy your taste in metal. Maybe you need to listen to the CD a few times, but I can assure you that it’s worth your time. As I write these lines, I am listening to the CD for the second time, and I am picking up a lot of stuff, that I completely missed the first time. I wonder what stuff will appear, when playing the CD for the 6th or 7th time.”
ALBUM SYNOPSIS:
A choice knocking at our door at any hour, out of a disarming simplicity, with an innocent face. It complexify our kid’s mind so imperfect, under the observing eyes of the divine concepts. A whisper, a simple thought are sometimes the only things we need to go from one side to the other.
May it that we falsely understand what surrounds us, may we have been scorn, may it our fear of the end or our animal instincts, the choice is ours... will you be an angel? Will you be a monster?
Close your eyes, open your mind and take a trip into the core of the human soul in search of his own truth...

a bridge to far ?
author: Jan-WolfI would discribe the music as raw progressive disorderd metal ,the cd has some real original parts but some of vocals parts are a bridge to far for me ,i like bands like kopecky and music like this is doing fine without vocals if the compositions are strong enough, listen for yourself and more one time, for some this could be an holy grail i think .Last but not least the esoteric wisdom on the cover wil get five stars.
A great band, with a rare sense to work with different styles.
author: Progressive Rock & Progressive Metal - E - ZineComing from Canada, the four men rock band Highest Place presents us with their second CD. With a Progressive Metal approach and some good riffs, it proves that is not a dilemma if you will hear or not this album (just kidding!). Long songs like “Quantic Macrorealms” and “It’s Always A Matter Of Choice” brings heavy riffs into the progressive atmosphere with good results. And some moments are very intense, like the the heavy “Temporary Out Of Order” (something like Pantera, could you imagine that?), and the sweet and slow “Humanized”, which shows the talent of this boys, that can be so heavy and so sweet at the same time. To close the CD, another punch in your ears, the excelent “Inertia”. A great band, with a rare sense to work with different styles, that deserve more attention, because here we have lots of intelligence and good songs. The musicians on Highest Place are: Francis Viens - Bass, Nicolas Trembay - Drums, Pierre Lauzier - Guitar, Kevin Isabelle - Vocals and Guitar. Highest Place is highly recommendable to all Progressive Metal fans...
