notes

Volume I is the first release by the The Hickman-Dalton Gang, featuring Johnny Hickman of Cracker and Jim Dalton of the Railbenders. The record rings out with sounds of the Old West, midnight rides, strong drink and murder on both sides of the Mexican border.

The project is a true instrumental, vocal, and writing collaborative, though the elder statesman Hickman defers gladly at times to Dalton's coal-fired baritone vocals. With only a handful of gigs under their belt, the duo has already been invited to open for the legendary Billy Joe Shaver, and Roger Clyne's Circus Mexicus in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
