Hermann Lammers Meyer is one of Europe`s most international classic country artists. He worked international music stages since 1973 with his band The Emsland Hillbillies, shows all over europe, great britain, lettland, scandinavia, 4 Tours through Texas including a great performance with Johnny Bush at the traditional Houston Rodeo at the Astrodome in 2008.
His style is fiddle/steel countrymusic the way that Porter Wagoner loved ... its honky tonky and western swing.
On his albums he used A Team session players like Buddy Emmons, Jimmy Day, Johnny Gimble, Pig Robbins, Pete Wade, Buddy Spicher.. and all them hot old cats.. (smile)
He produced most albums with Tommy Hill and Juergen Koop at the Starday Studio in Nashville, at Willie`s Pedernales Studio in Austin, and many more. The newest album, still in the pipeline, he produced with Johnny Bush at Bill Green`s Studio in San Antonio, Texas. In his period of recording he produced many duets with Willie Nelson, Johnny Bush, Norma Jean, David Frizzell, Michael Ballew,Annie B, Billy Walker and other great country music artists. His new album "1961- A Love Song" already features 3 wonderful independent radio hits like his originaly penned 1961, featuring a wonderful performance by Nashville Legend Lois Johnson, also a fine new version of the Beatles "What Goes On" and "Never Ending Song Of Love", a re-cut of a New Seekers Pop Hit.

Europe's most popular singer of Texas Dance Hall and Country Music,
Germany's Hermann Lammers Meyer (HLM) has again journeyed to Nashville
and had some wonderful musicians join him and his great voice in this
brand new CD of 15 tunes plus one bonus track of a fantastic eclectic
mix. It was produced by HLM, Juergen Koop and former Ray Price Cherokee
Cowboy, Pete Wade, who is heard on electric guitars and Dobro.
In addition to Pete, HLM, a steel guitar player, chose possibly the
world's most famous name in the steel guitar world alive today, Buddy
Emmons to play pedal steel on the album. In addition, the great Buddy
Spicher is heard playing fiddles, viola and mandolin, David Smith- bass,
Gene Chrisman-drums, Rodger Morris-piano, Jimmy Capps and Zille- guitars
and Rolf Sieker-banjo. Becky Hobbs plays piano and joins Hermann vocally
on Hermann's Nashville Cats Boogie. Another steel guitar favorite, Jim
Loessberg plays drums on Merle Haggard and Bonnie Owens' Just Between the
Two of Us. The angelic voiced Laney Hicks joins HLM on this one and also
on Willie Nelson's Mr. Record Man. The backup voices joining Hermann on
the album are The Callaways (Lois Johnson and Sudie Baker), Lillie Mae
Rische, David Spicher, and HLM himself, who is also heard on guitar. Lois
Johnson is also heard joining Hermann for a duet on HLM's own album title
tune 1961- A Love Song. A country music legend, Dusty Owens, duets with Hermann on the Conway Twitty memory 15 Years Ago.
Another country favorite is the Ned Miller composition and hit Do What
you Do Do Well. Bonnie and Delaney gave us Never Ending Song of Love, The
Kinks did Days and What Goes on is from the Beatles. HLM brings all of
these back and also does the awesome Texas dance hall sound of Fastest
Growing Heartache in the West from Ringo Starr. A couple others with that
super Texas dance hall sound, both written by Hermann are Alley of Shame
and Neon Leon. The beautifully voiced Annie B joins HLM for another of
Hermann's originals, a waltz, So What Am I Doin'. Another HLM original
is The Radio Song, a very interesting sound. The remaining tunes are Run
to the Door and the bonus track, Hermann's penned instrumental,
Emslaendler.

    Yes, Herman The German, beautiful tradional country music with a thwang of honky tonk and western swing. His cd "1961 A love Song" It's for me a riddle why I didn't hearded from him in The Netherlands. Very good music for people who like to dance on tradional country music. If you like'm or not this is music you have to love, Country Eagle
