Album Notes

1960-Portstewart Co. Derry-Saturday evening. A young lad(17 years old), armed with a heavy name(Henry Campbell Liken McCullough), a light 'tuck box' (a few slices of Ormeau loaf filled with love and understanding and very little else), and three chords - waiting for The Skyrockets Showband tour bus to pick me up for the first stage of the musical odyssey. First stop, Enniskillen, co. Fermanagh, where I spent many a happy year. Boy, did I love it! I quickly learned a few more chords. Endless gigs, six nights a week. Beatles, Stones-long hair, no uniform...the best music education a man could have had. Eire apparent bade the leaving of Ireland. Tours with Hendrix, etc... Little did I know what the future held...Joe Cocker, Woodstock, Paul McCartney's Wings...! I've "lived" some of the greatest moments in rock history- I was there! The stories I could tell...
