notes
Heidi Muller and Bob Webb are pleased to announce the release of their new CD, Seeing Things! It is Heidi's sixth CD, and their first one together. These songs include nine of Heidi's new originals with roots spread out from Seattle to New Jersey to West Virginia. There's a strong theme of place celebrating history, coffee, spring and snow, and the longing to return home. There are also three instrumentals with mountain dulcimer, cello and guitar, and the Beatles cover tune, "I Will". For the latest information, see www.heidimuller.com. But read on now for some background!
Heidi Muller and Bob Webb perform original songs and traditional tunes featuring Heidi's crystalline vocals plus guitars, Appalachian dulcimers, mandolin and electric cello. Each was a performer and teacher for many years, Heidi in the Pacific Northwest and Bob in West Virginia, before meeting at a music conference and deciding to join forces. They now live and tour from their home base in Charleston, West Virginia.
Heidi Muller has many ties to the Northwest, having lived in Seattle for nearly 20 years before moving back East a few years ago. Her song "Good Road" has been the theme of Dan Maher's Inland Folk radio show since 1989, heard weekly on Northwest Public Radio. She is an award-winning songwriter, guitarist and mountain dulcimer player who has performed for over 25 years throughout America. Her critically-acclaimed recordings, national radio airplay and headline appearances at events including the Kerrville Folk Festival, South Florida Folk Festival, Northwest Folklife, Kentucky Music Week and the Northeast Dulcimer Symposium have given her a firm and respected place in the national folk community. She has shared stages with Nanci Griffith, Tom Paxton, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Jean Ritchie, Bill Staines, the MacArthur Family and many others. Heidi is known for her clear alto voice, insightful lyrics, spirited dulcimer playing and her natural ability to connect warmly with her audiences. Dulcimer Players' News describes her as "one of the dulcimer community's best songwriters and performers",
Bob Webb is a consummate musician, having played cello and guitar since childhood. He has also played mandolin and mountain dulcimer for over 20 years. He was a founding member of the band Stark Raven which went on to become the house band for the syndicated public radio show Mountain Stage. In his years on the show, he accompanied musical stars Odetta, Tom Paxton, Shawn Colvin, and Arlo Guthrie, among others. Bob is a recording engineer and producer who collaborated with Kate Long on the 2002 radio series "In Their Own Country" which was nominated for a Peabody Award. He has produced two children's albums, has published a beginners' dulcimer book and recorded the CD Here Comes the Sun with West Virginia dulcimer player Dave Haas.

Seeing Things
author: Jerri ReynoldsVery enjoyable listening music; nice to actually hear the words! I'm sorry I didn't order the CD with "Mama" on it, so guess that'll be next.
It was a wonderful CD to relax by.
author: Wanda LandisThe songs were very mellow. I enjoyed the lerics to the songs. The song Seeing Things was my favorate one. Highway is Calling reminds me of being out west.
