Chuck Hedges built his reputation in his hometown Chicago in the early 50's along with George Brun, Danny Alvin and Muggsy Spanier.
During the 60's Chuck was part of the great Dick Ruedebusch Band that recorded many records and performed on the Ed Sullivan Show.
Chuck has made his home in the Milwaukee area and has been playing at Andy's in Chicago for the past 20 years with his "Swingtet" every Monday evening as well as in Milwaukee at Selen's Supper Club every Friday night, and The Grove Restaurant on Thursday nights.
He also travels worldwide for jazz festivals. Chuck played with the late Wild Bill Davison all over Europe. Chuck continues to get requests to play in Europe as well as throughout the United States.
Chuck also continues to play with Tommy Saunders' Wild Bill Legacy Band. Chuck has recorded many times with Delmark Records and more recently with Arbor Records. Chuck now has his own recording label, Voltaire Music, that has produced his latest CD, Chicago Live.
