notes
Heather Dale cheerfully disregards the stereotypical limits for both folk singer-songwriters and Celtic balladeers. Tapping into the continuing evolution of Celtic peoples worldwide, this Canadian recording artist offers a new type of Celtic music for the 21st century: a playful, passionate blend of tradition and innovation. "Her music is powerful stuff, reminiscent of Loreena McKennitt and Sarah McLachlan but with a depth and resonance rooted in its mythic sources." (Vancouver Sun)
With her CD 'The Trial of Lancelot', Heather has crafted a journey into the King Arthur story that draws these legends forward into the present day. Some songs take the form of traditional ballads, while others explore the emotions of Sir Lancelot, Queen Guinevere and King Arthur from a first-person perspective. The album features Heather's evocative lyrics and melodies, supported by such diverse instruments as cello, tin whistle, electric guitar, piano and didgeridoo. With lush orchestration and Celtic-inspired vocals, this Modern Celtic recording bridges the gap between the traditional and the new.
Heather Dale tours full-time (100+ concerts per year) across North America and Europe. Recordings by Heather Dale include: The Gabriel Hounds (2008), The Hidden Path: Live & Rarities (2006), The Road to Santiago (2005), May Queen (2003), This Endris Night (2002), Call The Names (2001), and The Trial of Lancelot (2000).

Inspiring and beautiful
author: SofieHeather has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. I wish I could describe in detail what makes this cd so great, but I am afraid my English vocabulary is not good enough for that. Besides, no one would have the patience to read through it all… So I am just going to say this: Buy it! You will not be disappointed.
Love it!
author: Jason BoneHeard a track on Marc Gunn's podcast. Absolutely had to buy it. I was hypnotized by the way she weaves Arthurian Legend into song.
Er, the best...EVER!!!!!! hehe
author: Rebekkah RoxOn my computer it keeps cutting off the ends of the songs but it's fine because I already know and cherrish them very much. I absolutely LOVE Mordred's Lullaby because it has a heart warming yet violent and mysterious theme to it which I really do like when it comes to music. Then and then again, I love all of her songs. But really, can you blame me? ~~~~~~~~~You Dunno Me~~~~~~~~~

A lovely, evocative take on an old favorite
author: AnastasiaI first discovered Heather Dale through the Irish and Celtic Music Podcast by Mark Gunn - he featured Mordred's Lullaby. Wow!! I bought the CD the next day and wasn't a bit disappointed. The Music is lovely, the points of view diverse, the lyrics absolutly beautiful and heartwrenching. My absolute favorite from this CD was The Measure of a Man - the music, the lyrics, the crackle of fire in the background and Heather's lovely voice all combined into an unforgettable ballad!! Please keep writing and singing Heather!!
Music with a wonderful theme
author: Roscoe WarrenThis CD is wonderful. It tells the story from the perspective of the knights at the trial of Lancelot, something missing in much literature. If you enjoy celtic music and want to be transported back the Days of the Knights, then by all means, buy this CD. You will love it, and find yourself coming back to it again and again.
Keep writing these.
author: RandyYou know, you have supplied the treasure and I have found through the journey I am on in purity and honor I give to thee oh great story writer you be of old.
Very Powerful
author: PattyThis cd starts with death and ends with death. And in between tells incredible stories. This is the kind of music that touches the heart and stays in the soul. Very powerful.
Beautiful music
author: KirstinThis CD covers a lot and not just about Lancelot. There are songs about Merlin, Guinevere, and even a song chronicling one of the oldest stories of King Arthur known. It's beautiful and worth every cent.

This is one of my favourite CDs. Heather's vocals are amazing and the lyrics are great.
LOVE IT
author: MeganI find this music refreshing to the ear and has amazing tastes. It places me in a time and place where knights fair for maiden's hands and castles are laced with ivy. It matches my poetry that I write and I adore it. AMAZING!!
Excellent
