The Hot Club Quartette celebrates the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli's innovative Hot Club de France. The ensemble consists of a violin, two guitars and a string bass. It specializes in the music from the 30's and 40's, featuring well-known and rare compositions by Django and Stephane and other composers.

The Quartette also performs with lovely chanteuse Mrs. Janet Klein. The Hot Club Quartette musicians currently reside in Los Angeles, California.

Great Gypsy Jazz!

I love it when I discover different types of music that catch my fancy. This CD did just that - I had never heard Django Reinhardt style guitar/violin jazz before but now I can't get enough of it. This CD showcases superb performances of very talented musicians blending together to produce a charming brand of vintage Gypsy Jazz.
Music to make the soul light and bouncy

If I ever needed an example of music to put you in a good mood, I'd reach no further than The Hot Club Quartette. Their music is bright and lively, making me forget any troubles as I transport myself to an idealized 30s of Paris where everything is perfect and wonderful. It hasn't mattered if I'm in a bad mood, or had a long day; a liberal application of this CD makes everything great again.

These guys sound absolutely fantastic. The CD is wonderful, and they are even better live! How do I know this? I was able to hire these fine gents to play at my wedding! They made our day. Everyone there went nuts over these guys, and many said it was by far the best band they had ever heard at a wedding. If you gave a chance to see them perform around town (Los Angeles), don't miss it! They are by far the best at this genre of music, and four of the friendliest people I know. A 5 star ensemble!!!!!

Soulful gypsy swing

Great music in the Django Reinhardt tradition. While it doesn't pack in as many notes in rapid succession as the Rosenberg Trio or Sinti it is extremely melodious, soulful, and fun to listen to.
