notes
Harp 46 is an ensemble comprised of harp, bass and drums. It's hard to explain exactly what we are, but the genre "celtic fusion" seems to stick to us well. We really just have a good time with music and are always trying to challenge ourselves to have MORE FUN with it and to keep surprising ourselves!
The tracks on this cd are mostly pretty upbeat. There are a few traditional hymns and folk songs that we've rearranged, although if you don't know the song, you probably won't recognize it as anything different than the rest of the album :)
Have a listen... look around our website if you get a chance... and feel free to email us! We love to hear from folks who are listening to our music.

Great to listen to and Very Relaxing
author: ScottI first heard the song "Unspoken" while on vacation and I was instantly put in a relaxing mood due to the chime effects of the harp. I immediately purchased the CD based on this one song and was amazed on how well the entire collection of songs is. This CD is constantly played on our home stereo as it puts us in a "vacation" / relaxing mood as if you are at the Spa.
an amazing CD soft and funky
author: Mark LindoresGreat tunes. I was pleasently suprised by this CD. Some soft melodious tunes with a touch of jazz ans celtic influence. The more I listen to it the more I like it.
Best new mix of instruments
author: PrizzoI was looking for a harp CD that would inspire me, 'cause I want to buy my own harp in the future. This CD done this and more. I didn't want classical harp and I also didn't want dancing-naked-under-the-moonlight harp. This CD relaxes one and inspires one. A must-have for harp fans!
Breathtaking
author: Steve TinningFirst came across Harp 46 at the Emergent Conference in San Diego (and indirectly through one of Brian McLaren's books) - have played it and recommended it to all my friends/collegues/family here in England - simply beautiful music! Utterly creative and breathtaking!
The musicians on this CD are AMAZING!! They ooze talent!
author: Jessica SarriotThe drumming in this CD is phenominal and the harp and bass are so soothing to listen to you'll forget whatever worries you've had during the day. Not only is the style original but the caliber of playing is also incredibly high! Two thumbs way way up!!! PS: Nuc rocks!! Someone start a fan club! :D

Who would have thought that Celtic harp and jazz fusion shared such compatible vocabulary, such beautiful texture and color to make for such a mesmerizing album? It's not only incredibly refreshing to hear the harp collaborating in a genre outside its typical place but to hear such conversation and communication going on between the players, so perfectly blended with the warm and mellow ring of the harp, is exceptional. With a simple instrumentation of guitar, bass, and shuffley drums backing the harp, this album casts a soft mellow shadow over the heat of a hot summer day. A beautiful, moody, atmospheric gem.
