Since our formation three years ago, we set the goal to break the myth that Haitian Gospel music had to be boring. Of course some people might think that we are pushing the enveloppe but in this case we think we are doing the right thing, cause nowhere it is said that to worship we have to use our hands simply to clap, that all the instruments are there to glorify the "world". Just keep in mind why we like the support we are getting from the choir we are not preaching to the choir.....

I listened to your beautiful new CD last night and I found it amazingly different from what I heard so far. I am not religious, but I don't mind listening to your type of music. I truly like the "compa" style,it's absolutely unique as far as evangelic music. Keep up the wonderful work! D'après les membres de HARMONIE EVANGELIQUE, en Haiti, il y a quelques années, lorsqu'on parlait de musique évangélique, l'image qui venait à l'esprit était celle d'une musique lassante et triste. Dès sa formation,
HARMONIE EVANGELIQUE s'est donnée pour tâche de changer la mentalité qui fait croire que le style de musique "Konpa" était spécifiquement conçu pour glorifier le « monde ».

HARMONIE EVANGELIQUE évolue depuis plus de trois ans à Chicago, aux Etats-Unis d'Amérique. Avec la sortie de leur Compact Disc, les musiciens pensent que le groupe a bien illustré leurs intentions: donner une nouvelle direction
à la musique évangélique; démonter qu'on peut être chrétien et savoir apprécier de la bonne musique.
