notes
Sam Russell co-founded The Harborrats in in Kenosha, WI with Sean Lambrecht and began building the very large repertoire of original songs The Harborrats now draw from in their latter-day Seattle incarnation. in addition to providing distinctive interpretations of both classic and obscure rock n' roll, soul, country, new-wave, and modern indie-rock material.. The Harborrats recently released the EP/mini-album The Katie Sermon which will be followed by the February release of the album The Legend of Christopher Moon, both albums sharing a loose narrative that follows a cast of characters through the struggle of coming to terms with the passing of adolescent ambitions in the face of day-to-day ordinary living. The Harborrats are currently gigging in and around Seattle as well as enjoying play on KEXP.

Worth Hearing
author: Jennifer AllenI really like the lyrics on this CD. The music is good too because it goes through many different styles and keeps things interesting. I saw the band live first where they used a lot more electric guitar than they do on this album. Still, it's a great CD and worth checking out
