TURN ON THE MUSIC!
Hap Palmer. Hap-Pal Music,
Cassette HP150, $9.95. Ages 6-8

Hap Palmer probably has one of the smothest, most comforting voices in all of children's music. Combined with classy production, intelligent wordplay and keen, gentle humor it makes his work a three-time Parents' Choice Award winner. Palmer chips away at gender barriers with songs like "Francie Had A Football"; sheds light on the consequences of irresponibility in "Amanda Schlupp"; reminds kids that adults were once kids in "When Daddy Was A Little Boy"; and slips in a encouraging word about self-confidence in "You Can Do It"; "When you swing and miss remember that/soon you'll get another chance at bat". Good advice for any age.

  • We love it!

My daughter sang "Helping Mommy in the Kitchen" for Mother's Day at school. My 3 1/2 year old kept trying to sing it, so I bought the cd. We love it! They keep me laughing w/ their sing alongs. Also, the email I received to let me know it was mailed was hilarious! Very creative and much better than the typical, boring letter.

  • thanks
