notes
John Hadfield’s first CD, Monkeys in the House, won three Children’s Music Web Awards and inspired a live music / variety show that John has performed for literally zillions of children and families. Robot Monkey Head continues the tradition of quality original music for children of all ages, with trademark John Hadfield / Geri Smith songwriting that combines unique lyrics, outstanding musical arrangements, and zany sing-along fun.
"Eastern Washington State will never be the same again after being exposed to Stink Monkey."
Carlos Alden -- The Nacho Celtic Hour, KPBX-FM Spokane WA
“I’d like to spend an afternoon in John’s brain.”
Steve Marshall -- Rubber Chicken Radio, Tokyo Japan
"Highly entertaining, brilliant and fun. To summarize, we love this record."
Amy Davis -- Children's Music Critic (The Lovely Mrs. Davis Tells You What to Think)
“You should write a musical – the costumes would be insane.”
David Sedaris -- NPR humorist and best selling author
John Hadfield is an international performer who graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Russian Language and chose to do his graduate work at the Ringling Bros. Clown College. He has performed at Disneyland, the White House, the National Theater, the World Café Live, The Royal Lichtenstein Circus, the Philadelphia International Children’s Festival, the China International Children's Festival, and Magic Land in Bangkok, Thailand.
He sings, he dances, he juggles, he stands on his head. He dresses as a Russian ballerina and smashes dishes, does a ventriloquism act with a live dummy, travels with a mind-reading dog, and tours the East coast performing a science show and variety shows for elementary school aged kids and senior citizens. He ski races and has a black belt in aikido.
His music is wacky and sometimes educational - always fun and original.

Forget my daughter, I love this CD!
author: Katie RosatoThe tunes are infectious and hysterical. They're educational too. I never knew beans are seeds! I'll buy whatever John Hadfield sells.
Robot Monkey Head
author: MaxMy 3 year old knows every line of every song by this musical genius. Myself, I was 1/2 way to work when I realized it was still in the cd player- full blast- and I was singing along!
Album molto simpatico e divertente
author: PaoloE' molto divertente questo album che sta riscuotendo un grande successo.
Hysterical and clever

Hysterical and clever
author: Julie L.Thankfully John's songs are as funny for adults as they are for kids. These are the first CD's (both Robot Monkey Head and Monkeys In The House) I bought for my daughter that I would actually listen to, even if she was not with me. We were able to see John perform several of the songs live which adds to the comedic effect. If you like to laugh with your kids, buy either (or both) of these CD’s. You will not be disappointed.
Very Silly!
author: JoeyI love this CD because I love all the silly songs! I like Uncle Tony's Dentures the best because I like all the violin music in the background and the square dancing tune!
My almost-6-year-old LOVES Robot Monkeyhead!
author: tamamamaMy daughter and I listen, and laugh, along with the lyrics! John Hadfield's engaging personality comes through on each song, but our favorites are the title track, "I like Beans," and "Bunny FooFoo." This CD is good, old-fashioned family fun!
Wonderfully witty tunes. Catchy songs that are that hysterically funny.
author: Shelly KutchThese songs are wonderful. My kids ask for the songs to be played over and over and I love playing them. The "I Like Beans" track had us laughing so hard we couldn't even talk. John Hadfield and Geri Smith's arrangements are very clever and make you want to get up and dance. They add such character and fun you feel as though you are part of the music. This CD is a must for your collection!
Robot Monkey Head CD is a hit!
author: KayleeJohn Hadfield has done it again! Robot Monkey Head is our new favorite CD. There is not one song on this CD that we do not like. The kids know all of the lyrics and are constantly singing the songs. It is not often that a CD comes along that is appealing to children as well as adults and John Hadfield has now done it twice.
