Born in Jamaica and moving to the United States when he was four, Habib Bardowell's ministry is most loved for his highly melodic song writing, blending into a simple lyrical passion for Jesus. He shares a dramatic testimony of leaving secular music, (Beach Boys, Richard Carpenter, Jan and Dean), and a lifestyle of substance abuse behind. Now promoting a lifestyle of worship to Jesus Christ, live or on radio world-wide, Habib's music is being played from America, to Australia, throughout Europe, Brazil, across CSN's network of 150 Christian radio stations, and seasonally over KSBJ's worldwide radio wires. A former worship leader at worship centers: Saddleback Church, Fellowship of the Woodlands, and Shoreline Christian Fellowship, Habib is now the Lead Pastor at The Gate in Orange County, CA, (www.thegateoc.com), where his mission is to "lead people into the presence of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and help them grow to be all they can be in Christ." Habib and his wife Deborah have three children, twins: Austin and Ciera, and Daniel.
