It had been a good 20 years since Gwendolyn listened to any children's music when a friend made the suggestion she do an album for kids. She imagined what kind of music she'd like to hear if she was four again and out came the nutty, irresistibly playful tunes of Gwendolyn and the Good Time Gang.

The Good Time Gang sounds different than most children's music due to Gwendolyn's refreshing anything-goes attitude towards music. This approach allows her to break through the standard nursery rhyme formula, and create a new sound kids respond to immediately. Using her natural ability to do voices, she developed a variety of characters who help sing along. Together, they take their listeners on a silly-willy adventure through music learning and childhood fun. The mood is both nurturing and spontaneous as well as goofy and sweet. Best of all, the songs help children learn more about the world around them. "The Selfish Shellfish," for example, tells a tale of why sharing is important. "Farm Animal Friends" imitates the crazy noises of barnyard critters like roosters, cows, ducks, hens, sheep, pigs and horses. Other songs include lessons in manners, making new friends, and the tune "Scrub, Scrub, Scrub" even makes taking a bath seem like a whooping good time!

Music is an ideal outlet for children and Gwendolyn and the Good Time Gang is a perfect way to entertain children ages 2 through 6 while teaching them valuable skills. Better yet, the songs are performed in a manner parents can enjoy with their children! Whatever age you are, Gwendolyn and the Good Time Gang is sure to put a smile on your face.

    I have a 1 year old who never seemed to have any interest in the tv... and still doesn't, BUT when I found Gwendolyn's "Farm Animal Friends" on Demand, He claps, dances, points, and cries when it's over!

    Here is my wife's review, in a letter to me: . . . El CD es maravilloso, tiene música que encanta, Lalita esta contenta con el CD, lo escuchó todo el día, pero además de la música, cariño es una forma muy fácil para aprender frases básicas en inglés, yo ayudé a mi hija con la traducción, pude entender mucho de las canciones, sin problema, son tan simples en su letra, pero ideales para alguien de la edad de Lalita,... , estoy contenta por esto y concluyó que una forma muy simple para que un niño aprenda inglés rápido, es con cantos y música,… . . mi hija ha captado mucho de las melodías y frases que ha escuchado, así ella podrá reforzar lo aprendido. El CD tiene muchos temas muy lindos y en todos emplean un lenguaje tan básico y simple, fácil de captar para los niños,... ahora estoy en la cabina y Lalita me llama al radio para decirme que para dormir quiere escuchar a "Guendolyn".

    the music is excellent - lyrics are easy to understand and very cute - pleasing to the ears - and a little lesson for the children - EXCELLENT keep up the good work. My husband and I heard this particular cd while driving in my nephews car in Israel - his new york friends had mailed it to him (his child is 2 yrs. old) - my husband and I, upon returning to the states - did a google search and found the cd - we're going to play it for our twin granddaughters (15 months) who are arriving tomorrow for a week with us. -

    THE CD in our household. My daughters (2 and 4) are always singing these songs, even when the CD is not on. The best part is, my husband and I enjoy it, as well! It is so great to have a CD that is entertaining without being sickly-sweet. Plus, it's great for long car rides with cranky children. :) Love it!
