notes
Atlanta based Groove Stain is a Five member ensemble combining a traditional rock rhythm section with a powerful horn section. The band seamlessly mixes modern rock riffs with reggae flavor. Groove Stain brings many years of performance experience to such states as Georgia, Washington DC, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Kentucky, as well as performing yearly in the Atlantis Music Conference for Atlanta, GA.
The versatility of Groove Stain's appeal is evidenced by their performances with artists ranging from ska legends The Toasters and reggae staple Eek-A-Mouse to rap sensation Ludacris. The newest, self-titled album "Groove Stain" diplays the full range of Groove Stain's musical ability while simultaneously providing a strong dose of the live energy the band has become known for.
The band was recently hailed as one of the "must see" acts of the 2006 Atlantis Music Conference by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which went further to say that Groove Stain "could give punky ska a good name again. Chunks of guitars and impressive vocal harmonies vie with the blast from the horn section - and everybody wins!"
Groove Stain has shared the stage with such National acts as:
*Ludacris
*The Kottonmouth Kings
*Phunk Junkies
*Authority Zero
*S.O.J.A.
*The Expendables
*Less Than Jake
*Long Beach Short Bus
*Eek-A-Mouse
*Rehab
*Crazy Anglos
*The Grease Factor
*Family Force 5
