Born in Australia, raised in Toronto and New York, briefly a resident in Colorado, Ohio, and North Carolina, Greg Tannen is the son of an amateur jazz pianist and the grandson of a magician.
His music has "won more awards than his website has space to list, such is it's quality" and with one listen, it’s easy to hear why. Besides a flood of wins in international songwriting competitions (John Lennon, UNISONG, USA, ISC), and in festivals (Sierra Songwriters, Telluride, Rocky Mountain Folks), Greg’s music can be heard on national TV, on national radio, and in award-winning films. He has also shared the stage with musical greats such as Rosanne Cash and John Hammond.
His previous two albums, “Roam” and “Coney Island”, were both chosen as one of the "Top 12 Independent Albums" of the year by Performing Songwriter magazine. His sophomore album, "Coney Island", was completed with the help of 3 Grammy winners (co-producer, mixing engineer and mastering engineer).
Greg lives in and works out of NYC, and is a regular at places like the legendary Bitter End and the Living Room. He tours across the U.S. either solo or with his band.

author: ToddExcellent lyrics, vocals, & overall musicianship. I liked this CD so well I have already bought "Coney Island", Greg's sophmore effort. It is equally as good. Buy them both, you won't be sorry!!!

author: JenThis is a fabulous cd. I own two (one for the car) and have recommended it to (and sometimes even purchased it for) everyone who will listen to me. It's fun without being mindless, thoughtful without being pretentious, and most important, excellent road trip music. Definitely a desert island cd.

The tunes are terrific (you'll hum them constantly), the lyrics are wonderful. Hopefully he'll be signed very very soon, and the recording industry will have "discovered" another shining gem.

Great Music
author: RussellThis CD has everything I like listening to on it - starting with rock and roll and ending with great kind of folk song (it's a hidden track - am I giving away too much??). He has a great way with lyrics and for writing hooks, and his band sounds real tight. Highly recommended.
