notes
"Sitting down for the first time and attempting to play some old tunes seemed a disaster. Not one of us had played with a live band for 3 years. As we began rewriting parts of songs, and trying to perfect others, it reminded me of a freshly opened puzzle; pieces dumped over the calm surface turning it into confusion and giving a new meaning to chaos. Frustration was present, for it seemed difficult at times to find the right piece to fit the right location. But as we slowly began to place piece by piece, linking them to form the true image, that frustration seemed to leave, and the feeling of music seemed to take its place. The puzzle of music is endless, for as one progresses, a new image is formed." These are the words of Ty, drummer of the Green Peanuts referring to the decision by the Green Peanuts to play again.
After taking a break from the band for a few years, the Green Peanuts return with "In Disguise", a collection of some older songs reworked, as well as some new songs. Ben, the saxophonist of the band gives some further insight into the CD: "We've named the CD "In Disguise." It comes from a line in the song "A in Physics" talking about how something is hell in disguise. We dropped the hell because, well, we live in Utah. I once drove by a sign advertising that X96's Radio from Hell program would be there, except it said "Radio from Heck." Yup, Utah is great. The cover goes with the theme hell in disguise. It's very bright and happy looking, but it's the salt flats, not a nice place."
The CD was released entirely by the Peanuts. Everything from the recording of the CD to the artwork was done by the Peanuts. This CD is their child, a child who's only parent is the band.
Described as "a bit edgier than your normal bubblegum ska" by Portia of the Utah radio station x96, this CD is sure to get your toes tapping and your voice singing along.

A Skank-tastic Album
author: MarkThis is an energetic, upbeat album with catchy melodies, well-executed rhythm changes, and a poppy attitude. Tracks like "Song #4" will have you singing along with the chorus, and "A in Physics" provides a nice break from the rest of the album with a laid-back acoustic melody. This album defies comparison to any other ska album out there.
The way I always remember them sounding...awesome
author: AllysonThis CD is the perfect blend of the peanuts old and new stuff. My favorite is Waiting to Listen. It reminds me of the Get Up Kids in the best way possible. The rest is the good fun ska I love the peanuts for. This CD shows the peanuts great variety. My favorite peanuts CD yet.
Awesome CD! Every SKA fan should have this in their collection.

pretty awesome!
author: moeThis cd was definantly worth the wait and the money. If you could hear this cd before any of their others, you would say they could be professional, just by the cd. The line up on the cd was so intrucutly put together, that the songs flow right together, almost Alone in a Crowd - Catch-22. The rich filled horn lines and skank-able guitar riffs makes this cd a whole lot better! a great cd to play at parties, whe chilling with your friends or for any mood your in. Over all i would say this cd is a must have.

Spectacular
author: BryceI liked this CD a lot more than any of the older Peanuts CDs. The new recordings of some of their older songs have a better, riches sound. For being self produced they did an amazing job. I only wish that it was longer than 10 songs.
It rocked my socks off
author: KristaLynnThe CD was definitely worth the wait, while it does have a bit of a different sound than I expected, at the end it really did rock my socks off. All of the songs just sound great and just make you want to dance, even if people are watching.
