Jackson, NJ - On June 15, talented vocalist John Gray and his new imprint, MANNAGOD Records, will officially take their place on the music scene with the release of not one, but two debut CDs -- the gospel inspired JOURNEY and the R&B laced COVENANT discs. Both albums showcase
John's undeniable talents as a singer, songwriter and producer, and mark the first offerings from his NJ-based MANNAGOD Records. Gray serves as President/CEO of the new company.

Together, JOURNEY and COVENANT provide music lovers with a full spectrum of spiritual and emotional satisfaction. Infused with inspirational messages of hope and praise, JOURNEY is an incredible musical testimony that exalts and renews the spirit. Such featured songs as "Mannagod,"
"Church Boy," and the title track are destined to become gospel standards.

By using soul-drenched ballads and infectious mid-tempo tunes, COVENANT explores the beauty and challenges of love and relationships. Standout cuts include "Iris," "From This Day," and "Will You Marry Me," a tune poised to be a mainstay at weddings for years to come.

John Gray has been singing and performing since he was seven years old. He burst onto the scene in 1995 when he joined the Grammy-award winning troupe Kirk Franklin and the Family as a cast member for the highly successful gospel production "He Say, She Say, But what Does God Say?" Gray went on to tour with the group for three years.

From that point, his career continued to flourish. Among things he has guest starred on TV shows, toured with gospel bands, earned wide acclaim as a comedian, and appeared in a number of stage productions. In 2004,
John decided to tell the uplifting story of his own life via MANNAGOD - The Journey, a gospel play in which he not only stars, but also wrote, produced and directs. The production is currently enjoying a run of sold-out shows in the New York-New Jersey area, and is poised for a
national rollout in the coming weeks.

MANNAGOD Records is a unit of MANNAGOD Enterprises, Inc., a Jackson, NJ-based company that also includes a stage production unit, clothing line and management wing, among other elements. John Gray founded MANNAGOD in 2004 with his partner and company COO Glenn Richardson.

    I saw Pastor Gray on TBN and I knew it was going to be awesome. Yes, knowing something about him I think its so romantic that He believes in abstinence and that he is singing to his future wife of whom he has never met! Beautiful Piece. It is very romantic my husband and I had a wonderful evening together on Valentine's Day. I find that this captures the very essence of love.     My order number was #4512869. I received my CD and when i listened to it, the pure essence of love was unfolded. It told a love story from the beginning and how in our minds we envision a love like no other and then the final step 0f the decree/declaration of my vow to you forever. It is a truely what Love is and the stages of love and passion and commitment and the ultimate feeling of love that sets u on fire.Listening to the CD surrounds your thought process and takes you on a voyage like no other. I have owned both of these CDs; however, I seem to just keep giving them to my friends becuase they are so inspirational. Its hard to find good groove music, but I must say--Covenant is it!     For those of you that still believe in LOVE or are currently in LOVE, I urge you to purchase this cd. It reminds me of the LOVE that I want, the LOVE I have for my future mate and the "Destiny" that GOD has for me. For the singles, there's a powerful song (#3) called "I'll Wait" that encourages us to HOLD ON!!! I let my sister who's married listen to it and she really liked it as well.     I've only heard samples, but from what I've heard, the CD is beautiful. I was almost in tears. Just listening to the samples made me anticipate the day when I meet my man of God. Secular artists think that their lyrics have to be explicit in order to be romantic, but John's lyrics are pure and they leave everything to the imagination. His lyrics make a woman feel valued and pure not dirty and disrespected. I am definitely going to buy this CD and tuck it away for my special day.     Alright! Never have I ever been sooo very moved by such a man (in my most recent years). I’ve been away for a while…..completely disgusted and dismayed with what I’ve been seeing, hearing, experiencing in the church and was done with it all and moved on. The Word had been lost for me in that way, so I chose to live it instead. But you, John Gray, have made me to remember -- in the new style of gospel music (through your “Journey” purchased over the weekend in Pinole, CA). What a night to remember.     I first had seen John Gray on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, that aired also in Dallas,TX. He was introduced by Kirk Franklin - and I was really fascinated by his appearance, humor and especially his mission for The Kingdom of God that he expressed on the show (as on this website). I haven't purchased the CD yet but, I will. I listened to it from this website while writing this review -- and surprise! I didn't know that I would actually get an opportunity to hear the album this soon. I was just so curious by reading all of the favorable review ratings, that I had planned on writing this review just to say, that based off of everyone else's review - I was going to get the CD and now that I've gotten a chance to hear it (via this website), I'm definitely going to get the CD's.     The first song that I ever heard on this cd was You are Everything. It was sung during the play, Journey, and I cried the whole time it was sung. One day I pray that whoever God has for me will sing like that to me or just play that song (if he can't sing). I would have to say that this cd is one of the best love song cds that I have heard.     I love this man's voice. He doesn't sound like anyone I have heard before. I gave this CD to my pastor and his wife and they really liked it. My first lady said my pastor played "Get On" over and over and said "See that's what people need to tell the wrong nuckleheads that come in their life." I started missing the CD and had to buy it again(that would make 2 CDs I have purchased without blinking). If you ever get to hear him live it is so worth the experience. He puts every ounce of sweat and love into his ministry because it is that powerful to him. People watching and listening relate to the message and are inspired as well. It was so amazing to watch people cry with and for him on "Iris" because so many people have been in that moment.
