sweet melancholy
author: AncsiThis album is touching and deep. Perfect balance of silky, sexy vocal and solemn, substantial instrumental music.
deep, sexy, dark contemplation and meaning...echoing far beyond its running time
author: matt hillthere's real beauty buried in the layers of this work...clean yet rude, dark and simulateneously uplifting...real instrumentation and thought provoking writing with modern production...it's ALL worth your time and money, but i especially like 'you care too much'...buy it and listen
Astounding music!
author: CerellaThis is by far the BEST CD I've ever purchased! If I had to choose 3 CD's to listen to for the rest of my life...this would be one of them! I hope they come out with another release!

AMAZING CD similar to PORTISHEAD or BAXTER. Slightly electronic. Amazing intstrumentataion and arrangements. Fans of the Blue Nile, David Sylvian, Tori Amos and PJ Harvey will instantly fall in love. Dark, beautiful and brooding. The Talk Talk of the 21st century. This CD is completely sexy.
Powerful & Emotional/A must-have for your CD collection.
author: sIf allowed, I'd give this CD more stars for the rating, it would fall into the PERFECT category. This is a very intense, powerful, and emotional CD. It is definitely in my top 5 favorite CD's of all time.
Very Tasty
author: Kevin BI dig this CD a lot. Very emotional. Good production qualities as well. All very good musicians in this group.
A worthwhile investment
author: DaveI personally purchase music to support artists more than I do to obtain the music. If an artist manages to impress me enough to get me to purchase any of their work, then I'll usually purchase all of it as a show of support. Gramophone managed to impress me enough with just two tracks. Beautiful vocals, terrific arrangement, touching lyrics. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and if they're still together, I can't wait for their next release.
Doesn't get any better
author: LuckyThis is a must for all CD collections. So smooth and yet so overwhelming. Some of the most beautiful and emotional vocals you will hear, with incredibly cool backing instrumentation.
One of the best sounding records on the market
author: AliA simply amazing album. The orchestration is fantastic and really adds to the dark, mellow tone of the songs. It has a melancholic feel to it which gets me everytime I listen... Highly recommended.
Dark, beautiful and brooding trip-hop pop like Portishead. Lush but catchy, mell
It’s lust. It’s smoke. It’s black paint. It’s sex music, or soundtrack music. It’s passionate weary longing trip-pop with incredible production and the most charming female vocals. It’s lush but catchy, mellow but funky. It’s a cross between Portishead, Massive Attack, and Garbage. It’s the record I would make if I were making records. It’s in MP3 format on my iPod. It’s a cassette in my car. It goes with me wherever I go. It helps me wake up and helps me sleep. It makes my eyes water. It’s one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. It’s a reason to make movies: so Gramophone can be the soundtrack. It’s a reason to live: so Gramophone can be the soundtrack to your life.
