Davis and his three bandmates serve up thick, meaty slabs of the blues, steaming and funky like a BBQ picnic on the Fourth of July.

notes
Governor Davis & The Blues Ambassadors is a 4-piece blues -- injected with soul/R'nB/rock influences -- outfit based in central Indiana. Formed in January '91, the act is comprised of Governor (yes, that's his real name) Davis on guitar and lead vocals, Steve Robbins on guitar/mandolin/vocals, Ron 'RC' Coffman on drums and James 'Jimmy V' Valdez on bass and vocals. Their repertoire includes original music written by Governor, Steve and Jimmy, as well as blues covers ranging from John Lee Hooker to BB King.
"...these guys are pure entertainment. The dance floor was full of sweaty bodies groovin' hard and the band's stage presence reflects their title with SRV-esque blues/rock covers and sassy originals..." NUVO Newsweekly, Indpls.
Governor Davis & The Blues Ambassadors have been voted in the top 3 blues band category in NUVO Newsweekly's "Best of Indy" Reader's Poll nine of the last ten years, and voted #1 Blues Band in the 2003 Readers Poll.
"...'LIVE' is a house party on a platter..." Whatzup, Ft. Wayne
"LIVE" is a collection of 14 tunes recorded at live shows in February, 2000.
