notes
Longtime Boston vocalist Brad Delp and former Boston/Orion The Hunter/RTZ guitarist Barry Goudreau have teamed up once again and recorded and released a new CD, DELP and GOUDREAU.
The CD, recorded in Goudreau's home studio, features all new tracks written by Delp and Goudreau with the intent of "making music for the pleasure of making music."
Where in the past fans have insisted on hearing MORE rock music from these two 1970's icons who are known to produce their own projects without the sugar coating of overproduced studio enhancements, the new DELP and GOUDREAU CD features exactly this.

I So Miss Brad !!!
author: nancy abouhannaThis cd has given me the opportunity to enjoy more of Brad with his blessed, beautiful, heart filled vocals and writing talents each time I listen to it, which is every day. I have it in my car, home and on my ipod. I am forever grateful for Barry and Brad making this beautiful music for all the world to hear. Ever since Brad's untimely passing, I feel lucky to have this cd and all other music with Brad singing on them. I miss him each and every day that passes by. This is a must have for all Brad and Barry's fans! Barry, thank you for getting with Brad to produce such an awsome, methodical, meaningful cd! Nothing can compare to this. I have all the RTZ cd's and the single that was Brad's last recording with Barry. 5 stars is not nearly enough, in my opinion. Much love and hugs, Nancy

awesome album nice to hear Brad outside of Boston to see what he could have brought to the band
Delp/Goudreau
author: Karen WestI love it, but I've owned it for a few months. I also got " Rockin' Away " and really love that personal heart felt song. Thank you Barry and especially thank you Brad, you are & will be missed. I'm so grateful to get to hear his beautiful voice, Barry playing guitar, that only he can do. And it's wonderful to get to hear tunes that they wrote. Brad & Barry were a great team. The cd & single release of Rockin' way fantastic and gives all of the fans a chance to hear Brad's golden voice one last time, it is a treasure. Thankyou again....Karen West, Seattle Wa
What You Leave Behind
author: Charlie JuneI just heard your song here in Alabama on the radio. I called them and they gave me Randy Stalls at Vision Quest number. He called me back from Nashville and told me about your site. I just wanted to stop by and tell you how much I love the song and that it touched my heart. Bless you!
Delp and Goudreau
author: Jimi GentryThis is a great CD with one of the best known voices of Rock and Roll. R.I.P. Brad Delp
The Midas Touch
author: RoyEverything both Delp & Goudreau touches or ever has touched instantly turns into gold. This CD is no exception. Brad Delp's untimely death was a tragic loss & he is missed by millions of very loyal fans. Just like the old saying, only the good die young. Boston songs still gets lots of airplay, especially on my local classic rock station & I for one, can't help thinking about Brad everytime I hear a Boston song. I hope Brad both knew & realized how much joy & happiness he brought to us all. The same goes for Barry Goudreau; he is a highly talented musician & he may not get enough of commercialized recognition, but let me say here; that word of mouth always spreads quicker & faster than anything that any record company or radio station can every try to do. All I can say to Barry, is to never stop! We all love you, even all of your friends & fans here in Alaska. The house will always be packed wherever you may wish to go. I look forward to your next new project.
Perfect!
author: Brian HarmsenI'm a fan of the original Boston, evolving through Barry's solo album, Orion the Hunter, and RTZ. This effort is to be savored like a fine bottle of wine, "What You Leave Behind" even more poignant in Brad's untimely passing. No frills here, just pure, honest talent.
A MUST HAVE!!
author: Steve SickleThis is a great CD for anyone who enjoys the unbelievable vocals of the late Brad Delp. The music is very good and Delp's vocals compliment it very well. The songs are very touching and showcase the pairs writing talents as well. Delp and Goudreau have always been a great pairing of musician and vocalist. BOSTON was a great band due to the fact that these two were significant contributors. Delp's vocals have always been very distinctive in all the collaborations he has been involved in from BOSTON to RTZ to his work on Barry's albums. He was a great talent, with a heavenly voice that has not been equaled by any other singers I have heard. With this being the last recording of his terrific vocal talents, it is a must have for Delp fans.
Delp and Goudreau
author: Sharon HeffronWonderfully done! I play this at home...at work...at play.It certainly helps with grieving the huge loss. Soulful and musically on target....it's soothing. Wondering (I'm from Beverly, Mass.) what beach is in the background for this most telling of album covers? Thanks Barry. I will look for you playing in NH with Mamakicks When I can!You are truly the *BEST*!! Thanks so m uch to "CD BABY"on there inovative and expressive notes with timely delivery too! What You Leave Behind
author: Phil WrightI've been hearing What You Leave Behind on the radio in Ft. Worth. I called the station and they referred me to Vision Quest. The dude there, Randy, sent me here to your site. I just wanted to tell you how much you inspired me with this song! Keep up the good work.
a great cd from two talented musicians
author: richard hendrickswonderful cd full of superbly produced songs with a lavish feel loved keep on running though for what I would call booker t and the mgs meets led zeppelin and I honestly mean that as a compliment thanks for a truly great album
One of the best
author: BillI have hundreds of cd's but, honestly, this one is my favorite. All great songs but "What you leave behind" and "Everyday" are my choices for greatness.
- author: Tom
You know that where theres a will, theres a way!(from the song Can't Ya'Say by BOSTON)Both Brad and Barry still had that will and way to make great music! Music to make you feel good and take you places! This ones got that feel to it!
- author: Janne
very great album. You must have it in the collection. If you like Boston and RTZ.you will not get disapointed. It realy shows how good singer Brad Delp and good guitarist Barry Goudreau are.
Great Music by two of the best
author: JohnOriginal and heartfelt, there is a wide range of talent that anyone who loves music can appriciate.
I love this cd!! It is great to hear Delp!!
author: Lewis BeneventoI love this cd!! It is great to hear Delp!!
It is a terrific cd.
author: Matthew KlausA wonderful cd. Amazing guitars, vocals, unbeatable harmonies, and mature lyrics. Love the artists, love the cd.
Great CD!
author: Scott GibsonI'm sorry I waited so long to get this CD. When I heard of Brad's passing I knew I needed this CD in my collection. Thanks for a wonderful CD Barry! God Bless the memory of the greatest Rock-N-Roll singer of my generation, Brad Delp!
Deeply moving surround sound of musical ability and lyrics.
author: Debra JoyI knew instantly the moment I heard it on CDbaby I had to have it and since arriving, it gets better every time I play it. I enjoy this CD so much while puttering about the house or background music for company or taking that long soak in the tub after a hard day at work...it is the perfect compliment for nearly every mood or situation. Uplifting, provoking, wonderful!
Very good, a different mellow animal from the old B standard.
author: DavidD-G is a refreshing statement of Brad&Barry now(late), mellow&mature.CD represents influences from the unforgettable big B standards with additional life evolution. Mostly does not attempt to recreate the past.Thematic sentiments relay melancholy with hope for purpose. This effort should do well. Past is gone, enjoy the present music.Hope the eventual legacy of this music promotes a reconcilliation and reunion of the unfortunate divorce of authentic B. Barry,Sib,Fran,Tom - u know what to do...Let love, peace, and healing overcome pain, egos, and past bitterness. It's what Brad would have wanted to 'leave behind' even if he couldn't enjoy it.
Good Stuff !
author: Keithpicked this CD up on the strength of "What you leave Behind" and was pleasantly surprised by the rest of it - you can definitely hear the Beatles influence Brad brought to the vocals and it was great to hear a bit of those old Boston harmonies too - this ones a keeper !
A lot like Barry gooudreau CD
author: AudiocharlieThis is a great Cd ,the boys work well together. it's a shame that this will be the last! you will like this disk it's like Boston 1& 2 ,RTZ or Barry goudreau.
I like it!!!
author: EddyI really like it - I bought it after Brads passing to ease the anxiety.
I like it a lot
author: Kevin KostiukI love to hear Brad Delp sing so I like this disc a lot. I think Barry and Brad have made some excellent music outside of Boston and although this is slower than the earlier stuff I still like it. A couple of the songs sound a little like Boston but the rest don't. That's OK it's still good. I can't believe he's gone. Just like that, a huge part of growing up was listening to Boston and I can't believe it's over. Thanks for the timeless tunes. RIP
Nice. I like!
The best voice ever!
author: Shannon HutchinsonI love this CD. It's different from Boston but very well done. Brad proves once again that he is the man with the golden voice. He is the best vocalist ever. Barry's guitar work is great also. These guys have always been great musicians. The only downside to this is that Brad left us way to soon. I will miss him. RIP Brad.
- author: kathy kotlarz
I bought this cd after Brad died and the words really have significant meaning to all the sadness of his death. I love every song and will treasure the meanings and work them into my life. Barry has always been a favorite of mine, back to the early 80's with his song "Dreams are all that I have with you". You guys rocked and I hope Barry that you still keep rockin out some tunes. Rest in peace Brad.
Awesome!
author: Cameron GibbsI wanted to connect somehow with the fact that Brad's vocals will never be heard on any new tracks. So when I went to Barry's site and found the opening song I had to have it. What a ride you guys must have had...Good tunes for sure...CDBaby was tight with the delivery also...great site.
Ottimo album
author: MusilosophyCanzoni molte belle ed intense.Bella, bella musica e molto ben suonata ed arrangiata. Ottimo album.
OUTSTANDING BRAD & BARRY !!!
author: RACKMOUNT CONCEPTS ( Vinnie )If you want to just hear Brad and Barry this is your CD, I love the first Song, What we leave behind. This one's a keeper for me. Thank you Bard & Berry... Rock On ! www.rackmountconcepts.com Vinnie
I wish I had bought this earlier
author: NeggyIf you were a Brad Delp fan, either from Boston, BeatleJuice, RTZ, I would suggest this CD as a must buy. In light of Brads passing in March of 2007, Track 1 is especially thought provoking. Delp & Goudreau is the Music we should have heard from some very talented artists, if TS had not made everyone life a living hell. As a side note, some Boston members are playing with Ernie Boch Jr's band, Ernie and the Automatics. I'd love to know who wrote the lyrics for track 1
shows that these guys can move on from boston
author: robert wilkinsonpretty straight ahead rock music in a northern urban way..i live in the south so its a change of style from my usual rural southern preferences.
What You Leave Behind....SUPERB
author: Ronnie JayWhat You Leave Behind has got to be one of the finest songs to showcase the passion of what Boston was all about. The production quality is superb, the purity of the vocals is unsurpassed and it is that purity that runs hand in hand with the powerful guitars tracks, the full melodic background vocals and the whole feeling of it's message. The words tell us of our need to make each moment and deed count, as we only have one chance to do that. It is so very hard to write a review about such a wonderful song without stating admiration for Brad's voice. It is truly a masterpiece and will always ring true along with Brad's memory.
This music is greatness!
author: Artie BriddonBarry Goudreau put up the song What You Leave Behind with the sad news on Brad Delp. The song is so powerful that I actually cried. I love this song since the 1st time I heard it and this cd will always have a special place in my collection. If you don't have it yet, what are you waiting for? Get it now!!!
What You Leave Behind
author: Bill WilkersonI just heard the Vision Quest 2006 Countdown of songs on the radio in Georgia. "What You Leave Behind" is an awesome, awesome song. I contacted Vision Quest and they sent me to this website. I can't believe you guys are the remnants of Boston, my all time favorite group in the universe Super CD. Great song. Vision Quest was very nice to me. I had a return call from their president, Randy Stahl. He took the time to talk with me about this great song. I wish you guys would release another one to radio!!!

David Gilmour would be proud
author: Fur MinaIts nice to hear some something sincere and epic. This album grasps your heart and creates a backdrop for its fleeting romance. Beautiful and large yet modest and soft spoken all in the same breath
Definately not dissappointed for purchasing this CD
author: Kevin FinicalI'm grateful I found this great CD. Brad Delp with his amazing vocals, and Barry Goudreau on lead guitar, How can ya go wrong? Excellent work of art !
What You Leave Behind
author: Virginia PhelpsI heard this song that you released with Vision Quest. Gentlemen, it is just fantastic. When are you going to release another song to radio? My cousin David is promoted by Vision Quest. He's high in many charts. You guys deserve more recognition.
One of the best ive heard in a long time.
author: ron cloningerthe more i listen to these songs(from the delp/goudreau cd) the more i am thinking that brad should just leave boston and team up with barry for the rest of the time they do music. boston isnt using him and at least in my opinion are holding him back these days. i wish they would get a major label (and i think if brad made the commitment to this they could without a doubt)so that we could see how well something like this cd could sell with major support. they deserve it. this is , and if you havent listened to it then you may think i am overstating, the best cd i have heard in a long time. and im talking major labels , indies , anything. i cant stress enough how this doesnt need the boston affiliation. if i had never heard of either of these guys and heard these songs i would still be blown away. in fact i would go so far as to say that the only people who would not like this are people looking for a boston clone. i think these guys could really have something on adult soft rock/rock stations. ok , i will quit talking about it now.
This CD was better than I imagined.
author: MarolynDon't miss out on this CD. Great songs, great vocals and really from the heart. Awesome to listen to.
- author: Dennis
Its been awhile since i heard from these guys and the vibe and groove is all there the production is awesome its well worth the buy and of course thanks to cd baby for there excellent service
Became instantly my favourite
author: AndreasI saw this cd on the Top 20 Sellers Ever list. Hadn’t have heard a song of them before. I bought it and that's the best thing I've ever done. I’m totally blown away. This CD is just great! It’s nonstop playing in my car since I got it.
A virtual parade of vocal abilities topped off with guitar that compliments it!
author: Jack QuinnBrad Delp has the golden voice, his vocals on this cd do not disapoint, listening to it , you think that he's brought back several famous artists from the dead for one more go around, in the track ,I need your love, he starts out as George Harrison, then transforms to Roy Orbison but the guitar on this track is also a dead ringer for Harrison. Another track Brad is John Lennon! Mixed in is Paul McCartney and in yet another he is undoubtedly the lead singer of a classic rock band you may have heard of called Boston. I listened to it 4 times right in a row out of the box and did not find a disapointment on the entire disc. my personal standout favorite turns out to be the track, out of my hands, with outstanding guitarwork that leaves you hoping that these older fellas aren't finished making music just yet, a must buy for anyone who likes the Beatles or Boston but with a 2006 twist!
- author: khelbick
My husband and I heard a cut of this album on the radio, and not knowing who did it, but loving it, went to the station site for ID. When we found out it was Brad Delp, I went looking for the CD since Boston has always been one of our favorites. We're delighted with the D&G collection. I'm just sorry that we didn't catch Brad Delp in Manchester, NH for the WZID Holiday Concert (or even closer at Whippersnappers, Londonderry) recently. Recommended to everyone.
I love it!
author: PatrickThe cd itself is just brilliant! The mix is almost perfect. The vocals and the guitar work is a perfect blend of Brad Delp and Barry 's guitar.I love the way the cd flows from slow and melodic to all out guitar slashing, I can't wait to hear what they come up with next.
More of the sound we love
author: Tom Hernden, longtime/bigtime Boston fanActually, I would have given it 3.5 stars.... I love Brad Delp and Barry Goudreau, just having them together and making music validates this purchase. But, while I love the familiar guitar work and vocal excellence, I have to agree with one of the reviews I read before I bought it - this doesn't have the hard edge that the solo Goudreau album had, even that the RTZ CD had on a lot of songs. It's still good Boston-esque music, but I have always preferred more of the hard side of their efforts, songs that just rock harder, and this CD is just a little too soft for my preferred interests.... but I'll listen to and buy pretty much anything these guys do (same as Boston for me) until they stop doing it. They are a big part of why rock and roll changed during the time they were on top, and they're legends for it, rightfully so.
gee, those are very good songs
author: McAuthor JacksonWow, Now I know what makes you tops. Great work
What You Leave Behind
author: Susan BelamyIt was tough finding you guys. I called CCM magazine and my station in Birmingham. I did a internet search and came up with the producer Randy Stalls. I then found him through Vision Quest and CMP Magazine. He was in session, but was cool enough to call me from Nashville and tell me how to find you. Long story short, this song has touched my life in a wonderful way. I am a believer in love, now. A love that trandsends what a preacher might say. Randy Stalls was so kind to me. I really didn't understand what he said he did for Delp & Goudreau. Something about radio promotions. Whatever that is?? Anyway, keep up the super writing, singing and playing. Love you guys! Suz
Brads voice,Barrys guitar, how can you go wrong.
author: jeff robinsonI would give it 6 stars,Brad Delps voice and Barry Goudreaus guitar, how can you go wrong, great cd for Boston fans and newcomers..go ahead, treat yourself to this cd,you will not be dissapointed...it is the business!!!
Brad Still Has the Voice!
author: JoeIf you are looking for quality music w/a refreshing sound, then this is the CD for you. Brad Delp's voice is as great as ever, and Barry Goudreau proves why he was so instrumental in defining the original "Boston" sound!
you guys rock!
author: Greghey! great cd! love it! you guys rock! take care, Greg peace/love/harmony
I LOVE "What You Leave Behind"
author: Mary SingletonIt sure took me a while to find you. I've been hearing this super song "What You Leave Behind" on my Contemporary Christian station in Houston. The DJ there said is was by Boston. I couldn't find you anywhere, so I called back and they gave me Vision Quest's number: 800-878-1916. The people there were nice but didn't have your CD for sale. They sent me here. So now I have the CD, with one of my favorite songs ever, "What You Leave Behind." I request it every day or so. Keep up the great work!
Trademark Delp. Prefer the edgier sound of Boston and Barry's earlier music.
author: NedToo soft. Not the edge I prefer to hear from a guitar. Great vocals!
very melodic
author: clark haginsi love brad delp and i love boston, they are quietly one of the greatest rock n roll bands that ever existed,..their first album ofcourse is the ultimate rock masterpiece..."what you leave behind" and "out of my hands" both hook you magicly with that genius songwriting that only guys like kurt cobain and david bowie come close to understanding, brad delp ..in the 70's would multi-track his harmonies...but it was the melodies that grabbed the listener ! i go straight for bands with chord changes and lotsa minor chord mixings...i hunger for melody in these final days of the death of rock n roll here in 2005, i love to hear stuff like this , it gives hope and it reminds us all to keep going in the studio no matter how old or whatever and keep on rocking...forget what the music industry hacks say ,
PRETTY GOOD
author: JOHNA COUPLE GREAT SONGS, A COUPLE OK SONGS, AND A COUPLE YOU HEAR ONCE AND SKIP IT NEXT TIME ITS PLAYED. DELP STILL HAS ONE OF THE BEST VOICES AROUND. IF YOU LIKE HIS VOICE, YOU'LL LIKE THE ALBUM.
Awesome!!!!
author: KymYou guys are awesome.I see why you were one of cd baby's top sellers. From one artist to another I wish you continued success.
Awesome song!
author: Walt MurphyI heard your single on my radio station in Bonifay. I called and they hooked me up with Vision music. The folks there were so cool, and even let me speak to the president, Randy something. He talked 20 minutes or more about you guys and told me to come here and buy the whole CD. What You Leave Behind is such a song of truth! You guys are the best.
great cd - enjoyed listening to it
author: dan formosai enjoyed the cd very much - i've always been a big fan of brad's vocals - excellent guitar work by barry too - have recommended the cd to friends - would like to hear more - keep up the good work guys
What You Leave Behind
author: Phil HinzeI heard your song in Atlanta. Wow! The station said you were released on Vision Quest. I contacted them and they directed me here. They told me you had received tons of airplay all across the country. Congrats! My girlfriend bought the CD for me for my birthday. It's awesome. I'll be listening for more radio releases from you in CCM.
Should not be compared to Boston
author: Lee RamellaToday, I was driving my snowcoach through Yellowstone Park, and I realized that the Humm of my tracks had the same groove as The Rhythm Won't Stop, What a rockin' tune! This Cd stands on its own, It should not be compared to Boston! So rare today, to hear vocals and guitar fit so well together like this! Awesome!!!!
Great music!
author: BJ WolpeNobody can sing like Brad Delp. And Barry Goudreau completes the sound. If you've forgotten what real music sounds like, this is it!
boston's vox an gtr.
author: johnIt does grow on you an you truly realize what a great voice Brad has...Sounds alittle mellower than i like but as i grow older so do all our tastes, sometimes its nice to hear stripped down underproduced as opposed to over!!!Barry still sounds Awesome!cant wait to get unreleased RTZ...Thanx and oh yeah...Loved:Keep on Runnin,...Leave Behind ,Let it Roll and the Rhythm Won't Stop and it doesnt!!!...Definately for people who enjoy good old-fashioned ROCKNROLL!!!
Delp and Goudreau Rock!
author: Rick HansonI was a big fan of Boston back in high school, and really enjoyed every track on the CD, especially the vocals and acoustic guitar. It was refreshing to hear new music by the founders of Boston. I hope that they continue making such great CD's.
goo stuff
author: Marcalways have been a brad delp fan. as far as im concern, he's the best vocalist ever. very good cd. not too fancy and really simple...
- author: JD
Great CD...the songs really grow on you. Very well put together and very creative. A nice departure from the "Boston" sound. Play it all the time in my car! Looking forward to more. You need to come to the midwest and play!
THE CD IS GOOD BUT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER.
author: DANIEL ANNISWOULD LIKED TO HAVE HAD BRAD AND BERRY MOVE UP TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF WHAT THEY STARTED WITH BOSTON.
Great New Boston Sound!
author: etsuI got a Dlp and Goudreau CD. That is new traditional BOSTON sound.
great stuff!
author: BOBBY TRATESGREAT STUFF!
Great cd, Brads voice will always be Boston!
author: Mike GirardGreat cd all around. Yes, a little different in comparison to Boston, but if you like Brad's vocals on anything, like I do, than you can't go wrong these two are great together, Who needs a record company! Don't stop recording guys!!
Great album, more Boston than Corporate America
author: JohnI was really surprised this album was as good as it was. Some great tracks and sounds more like Boston than Corporate America did. I am now on the hunt for the RTZ cds as i think Brad Delp is the sound of Boston. I'm disappointed that Boston with Brad don't tour the UK. Look forward to their next release!
There's no doubt about it, this is one amazing CD.
author: Roy GriffinThis CD is amazing and very pleasant to listen too, Brad and Barry have certainly found there own style A++++++++.
Brilliant album - not the old Boston sound but still great
author: VicThis is a great album, it is not the old Boston sound of over 20 years ago, but is fresh and rocks along far better than most albums of today. This is so much better than the over produced Corporate America, you can really hear Brad's great voice backed up by superb guitars and real drums - good solid rock music. When ordering I was worried it wouldn't live up to expectations but it is far better than I feared it would be. Give us more!
Some really good songs on this CD. Pleasantly surprised!
author: George K.There are about 5 songs on this CD that are excellent. I did not expect this to be as good as it is. A must for any Boston fan and cannot imagine this CD would not make its way to the airwaves.
Great CD
author: KenDMore RTZ than Boston............ worth listening to. If you don't get the CD you're missing out on a lot.
Great album - nice Brad vocals More RTZ than Boston
author: BooBooBrownHey- all Boston fans must get this record because of the mighty Brad Vox and the gtr work of Barry, who, as real Boston fans know, actually played the best solos on the 1st two Boston albums [Longtime, Don't Look Back etc]. As far as power of the music, it is a little more RTZ than Boston... Only real complaint is the CD insert was NO LYRICS! That is weak. They are on the website: http://www.barrygoudreau.com/ but still... Ordered from CD BABY and rec'd CD within a few days.
BOSTON....Take note....
author: Bill E.It's great to hear Brad actually SINGING on ALL tracks! This CD is better than anything Boston has put out since Third Stage. Excellent stuff. Brad sounds great, Barry does a wonderful job, as always. It's mellower than the past, but none the less, amazing. Buy it - you won't be disappointed.
- author: WCD53@YAHOO.COM
CD was received in perfect condition, thank you. Listened and their sound has changed. I have Barry's solo album, RTZ and Orion the Hunter. Almost all songs written by Barry & Brad. but this album is less ROCKIN. Will have to listen a few more times & let it grow on me. Thanx again.
Very Pleasant Surprise
author: Roy SBuy this CD, and before you listen to it, get your mind off Boston. This CD stands confidently on its own, full of engaging melodies, stirring chord progressions, arrangements that show impressive songwriting talent, and lots of heart.
- author: Big Joe
Delp & Goudreau arrived with a 5 day turnaround to Scotland, well done CD baby.Excellent disc,A.O.R.at it's best, get some live stuff out. All the best, Joe..
Kind of disappointing, I was expecting more of a boston sound.
author: Dewayne BontragerKind of disappointing, I was expecting more of a boston sound. Only about 25% of the CD has the sound I was looking for.

Wow, I love BOSTON and I love your Christian song as well. When are you going to release another song to radio? I'm in Dallas. I'll be listening for another.

author: Ray ShortThese guys have never stopped rockin'! This album airs the same as the ORION/RTZ days.....truly melodic and pure style. I love it. Can you guys make more?
Brilliant
author: Nigel PearceBrilliant CD - more of the same please. Not a bad song here.
- author: RTZ Rob
A super CD! I have followed Barry and Brad since their RTZ days. Actually met the 2 at a Del Mar fair show backstage. Great Guys ! I liked all the tracks on this recording. The only thing I could have done without is the chick who sings on a couple of the tracks. Brad doesn't need anyone to sidesstage his awesome voice. I hope to see them live again ! Those bigger radio stations are doing a disservice to the fans by not playing this Cd on regular radio rotations across the U.S.
Some of Bradley's Best Work Ever
author: John GrantBoston may be these guys 'cash cow' but this cd clearly comes from their hearts. It's also one of those albums that gets better with every play. 'What You Leave Behind' is my sentimental favorite. 'I Need Your Love' could easily be a lost George Harrison/Beatles cut. And 'My One True Love' is just pretty as hell. Brad & Barry...Nice Job!
A Great Record Lots of fun!!!
author: Pierre BackstromThis record is really great! Been a boston-fan since the 70`s. Delp and Goudreau is in great shape! Fantastic songs and great singin` from Delp
best i've heard for a long time
author: tim mawsonthis album was like breath of fresh air, truly a great album, one of the best i've heard for some time.
- author: CD Baby
Not surprisingly unforgettable and boat-rocking, this gold-star album created by vocalist, Brad Delp, of the band Boston and former Boston guitarist, Barry Goudreau, is built with rugged, sweat-drenched tracks of inspired. radio-blasting classic rock'n'roll that not only brushes up against the genius of 70's rock but embraces it and celebrates it. It goes without saying that any fan of the genre should undoubtedly own this album, powerfully-delivered by two icons the charts will never forget.
very good listening material. If you like boston this cd is must
author: norman valenciaI liked the cd great gutar riffs from barry and to the excellent voice of brad.If your a fan of the band boston this is a must have cd.This is not top 40 material thank god.
I love anything these guys do! This is just another good CD from these guys
author: John SieburgBrad Delps' voice is still awesome. this is a CD you can put on and just let it play. All the songs are very good.
Brings back the fun rock
author: K LesterWhat can you say about this CD but great job. I sit and listen and with each song my smile gets bigger and bigger. This is what rock should be pure fun.Reminds me of summer when I was young play it loud and drink a few cold ones. Thanks.
great album
author: MarcelloGreat album, in a Boston style.
Welcome Back!
author: Greg StandardThis may not be the Boston sound some are looking for, but the songs still stick in your head! For that Boston sound, check out Barry Goudreau's solo album from 1980. For a great, modern sound and a more contemplative style and tone, grab this CD right now. It may not sound like Boston, but it is still a great deal better than most of the songs on the latest so called Boston CD. In addition, it is much better than most of the new bands creating music today. Keep it up, gentlemen!
Great Album Go Buy It
author: Rod FoxallThis is a great album by two under rated artistes, 11 excellent songs, nice to see that they chose to show their own creative sides rather than copying the Boston sound that some would have liked. Go buy it, you wont be disappointed
A little slow but how can you go wrong with Brad Delp singing.
author: Thomas LimesThis cd is not what I expected. I was hoping to catch the Boston sound but that was not the case. Brad Delp's voice is great regardless of who he is singing with. Barry Goudreau is also an excellent guitarist. I thought the songs were a little slow. For the most part, I enjoy the cd. Thank you
Great to hear Brad Delp out in front again. Good melodic songs.
author: bluskiesAs Familiar and HONEST as an old friend
author: Bruce Lomet (CHINASKI)At once, both familiar and fresh. Delp's vocals sound as good as ever, and Goudreau still has the musical touch. This is a collection of well crafted tunes that will find a home in your CD player - right along with the classics of years past.
One of the best voices in rock...
author: ZaphodSince this CD was first announced that it was in the works, there was a lot of anxious people waiting to hear it. For many of us, it works and it works well. This is not the bombast and technical wizardry that people expect from Boston. This is filled with well crafted songs that stay with you long after you finish listening to it. There are echoes of the Beatles that can be heard in places as others have mentioned and it'd been so long since the public has been treated to a full recording where we can clearly hear Brad Delp's smooth vocals out front where they belong. The themes covered are from a more adult perspective then many offerings today which is refreshing. The closing song, One True Love, is a beautiful song that deserves some recognition as well as others on the disc. A very solid offering that hopefully will be just the start of more music down the road from these gentlemen.
Great Stuff!
author: Jack NeelWhat can I say... I LOVE this CD! I've kept up with Barry Goudreau & Brad Delp's releases since the first solo Barry Goudreau album. Thanks again so much guys for keeping the fire burning, and for continuously releasing new and awesome material. It always leaves me wanting MORE!
If Delp is singing on an album, buy it!!
author: GerardIt is like Boston but stripped down a bit. It really showcases Brad's awsome vocals. Great fresh sound. Very melodic.
Just when you think all music today is lame...
author: David H. SmithYears after their explosive world-wide introduction, Brad Delp and Barry Goudreau don't let little things like birthdays get in the way and produce one of the best discs in recent years. Far from a swansong, these guys are still at their peak vocally and instrumentally, and give hope to fans for recorded excellence in the future.
THIS IS A AWSOME CD!!!!!
author: DAVIDI LOVE THIS ALBUM DELP&GOUDREAU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN WITH THIS GREAT CD.IF YOU LOVE BOSTON THIS IS A CD THAT YOU MUST HAVE.
Still one of the all time best musical pairings
author: Mike KarolczakIt seems like I've been listening to both of you forever now. Every project you do has a fresh, but distinctive sound. Great album guys!!! Been listening to it to relax after a hard day of work. May your partnership carry on. Thanks Brad and Barry.
Great CD!!
author: Andy LaudanoAlthough I liked Corporate America THIS is what I expect to hear from a Boston CD! Brad's vocals and harmonies are amazing and Barry's playing is as good as anything he's ever done! The CD sounds better with every listen and Hands of Time is already one of my all-time favorite songs, up there with anything from the first 2 Boston albums.
Excellent CD, works well to bridge gap between Boston CDs
author: EricGreat CD! I have always loved Brad Delp's voice! Nice mix of songs! While it is a little different than your basic Boston material, it definitely is worth listening to!
A little bit of Boston without the great guitarrist....
author: JosephEasy to listen, reminds us of the Boston stuff, great potential for solo carrer as a duet. Not a masterpiece but a great choice for any Boston fan. I would definetely buy more material from these guys.
I like it
author: Tim HI enjoy this CD very much. Very RTZ in spots, and the roots of rock in others. I especially like the opening and closing songs of this CD. A worthy effort...
Great Melodic Rock CD!
author: KeithI really love Out of My Hands and Keep On Runnin'. I love the acoustic guitar on My One True Love. Brad's voice is stunning, as usual, and I love the way Barry's guitar sounds. Thanks Brad & Barry for continuing to make the music I love.
Best voice in rock + Boston-esque guitars
author: kbailsGreat to hear Brad singing on a whole record, and easy to see why Barry is missed from Boston. From a fellow North Shore/NH native, great work guys. When is D-G II coming out? Hope you're not on the Scholzian production timetable!
good service, nice cd
author: nicole and oliverA nice melodic rock cd. Typically RTZ sound with very good vocals and Boston (Ex-) guitar, slide, sound.
Uplifting and happiness is all I can say about this cd!
author: maureen francisThis cd kept turning out hit after hit.. I was not bored ! I was actually very surprized to hear how excellent the sound was and how great Brad sounded.. The guitar is always high standing and the overall cd was just great! I thoroughly enjoyed it entirely! The drums were as always ,excellent and always on time..Thanks for the happiness you have brought into my heart Brad and Barry. You guys are great!
A great collaboration.....
author: jomiviraA new recording with new fresh songs from the two most prominent force in the Boston legacy....still so sweet to the ears of our generation ......great songs and arrengments.
Well done but a shadow of their prior work
author: JollydudeThese two guys are exceptionally talented and they put together a pretty good band. However, much like the last Boston album, I think that their most creative days are well behind them. Although the musicianship is top notch, the lyrics were quite weak and most (not all) of the songs were unoriginal and unmemorable. I am such a huge fan though that I'll throw it beside all my other Boston related products and listen to it occasionally. I must say that a 3 star album by these guys is equal to a 5 star album by most other artists.
Very Good CD, certainly the BOSTON sound is there, go Brad
author: JamieGreat - nothing here to disappoint any fan
author: LeonardA great collection of sounds. Not difficult to spot the Boston roots, but that's not a complaint! So pleased I found this.
To good for words!!!
author: TJ HolzerWhat a great CD. Brad and Barry outdid any expectations ANYONE could have had about this CD. All 10 tracks are spectacular. Letting Brad do what he does best and showcasing his voice is what I noticed right off, and Barry played great (as usual). "Everyday" is my favorite song followed by"My One True Love" and "Reconcilliation" and "The Rythym Wont Stop". Words cannot describe how much I love this album. Thank You Brad and Barry for giving us all this great gift of music!!
- author: franco p.
good cd,good music,soul,very cool
Great job, hope there will be more to come.
author: John AugustineHope this album is a big success, and leads to the original Boston reforming. That is the only line up I recognize. I saw the Don't look back tour in Pgh in 79 and thought it was fantastic. Thought this album was pretty good. Brad can still sing, and it is refreshing to find him singing on the whole album unlike Corporate America.
Great Disc!
author: David A.Great Disc! I can hear the Beatles all over this CD. Very inspirational, and very nice guitar work. Keep it coming!!
Good Collaboration
author: Tim PeaseVery different from RTZ's first CD (which is the only one I have). Great to hear Brad's voice again and Barry's guitar work sounds more polished than RTZ, but not overdone...like someone else from Boston does :-). Let It Roll has a Roxy Music flavor to it. Everyday is a great ballad, with definite Beatle inspiration tied to it. I'm pleased with the musical direction Barry took, but perhaps a bit too much sitar for my palate.
brad and barry still got it!
author: daniel brownit was great to here from these guys again. i never get tired of hearing brad delp sing, i only wish there were more recordings of him out there. this album is refreshingly new, and it's got some great songs. make another one guys!
A great album with thoughtful/meaningful lyrics!
author: Dwight HealyYou gotta buy this album!...Brad Delp's vocals are as smooth as silk and Barry Goudreau's guitar has never sounded better! This is not an album with 1 or 2 great songs and filler...this is an album with ten awesome tunes
What I was hoping for....
author: Slang80Very good CD from two of my favorite artists. More good ol' rock and roll in the vein of RTZ. CD arrived perfectly and promptly.
Good but not great
author: Mike TessierAlthough I was happy to finally get some new material from these guys, I wasn't fall down crazy about this cd. I think one of the songs I liked the most after just one listen was "Reconciliation". There are some Beatle like moments which I hear Brad is a very big fan of the Beatles. I wish Barry would change his guitar sound a little more. We've been hearing the same guitar sound now since the first Boston album. This is not a Boston album. Production on this cd is about a 4 out of 5. Brad's vocals are still solid but are starting to show some wear. The drums sounded a little dry but thank God for real drums. There is nothing I hate more as a drummer than to hear drum machines(A la Boston)A cd that merits more than one listen nevertheless. Nice job guys.
Inspirational. Uplifting. Good variety.
author: Mike ClontzOverall good, uplifting music as well as catchy tunes. What You Leave Behind and Out of My Hands could be phenomenal with a little more strength on harmonies. I really like the way they start slow and build up towards the end. The bluesy sound of the Rythmn Won't Stop and the catchy sound of Let it Roll are excellent! The ballads are great lyrically, but would like to see a little more Power and Drive on the instrumentals.
Delp and Goudreau are as fresh as ever
author: Steve DThese guys have not missed a beat, the sound is fresher and more refined than ever.
Goudreau & Delp keep up the classic Boston sound
author: DutchmanAlthough the sound on this album is a little different from classic Boston & the follow ups RTZ, Orion and Barry solo this CD just rocks. Goudreau & Delp prove again that they are great musicians and i'm glad this kind of music (classic rock) is still on the air in an era of R&B trash and cheap, commercial productions! Rock on!
Wow, this is a great CD
author: Forrest C SmithThis is a great CD. Delp and Goudreau at their best. I loved it.
Heard you on Christian? Radio
author: Clyde NorstrannI heard a song on my Christian radio station about what you leave behind. I called them and they said it was BOSTON! They gave me the website. Well, here I am. I'm so very glad you are playing on my radio. Great album. Super song! God bless you all.
Great album!!
author: ChrisIt's good to hear what Brad Delp and Barry Goudreau do best again and it really shows on this cd! Brad's vocals and Barry's guitars sound as good as ever on this one! I recommend this cd to everyone who enjoys straight forward rock and roll with an occasional sentimental side as well. I love this cd! I couldn't have rated it better!
Gald to hear Goudreau and Delp back at it again!
author: ChuckFrom the time that I found out that this CD was available, I jumped at the opportunity to purchase it. I'm so glad to hear Brad Delp back behind the microphone. I'm a big fan of his. The music is solid and Brad is in great form. Highly recommended.
Goudreau & Delp:sparser production than usual
author: Phil CohenObviously,as a self-released/self-financed production,"Goudreau & Delp" doesn't have the big recording budget as the duo's recordings with "Boston" & "RTZ",so,while the sound quality is clean & high-fidelity,the arrangements are more sparse than anything the duo has done before. The songs are decent, but but quite different than anything they've done before. In various ways,Brad Delp,in his recordings with Goudreau & his recordings with "Boston"is moving away from the familiar, heavily produced sound...and with mixed results.
Delp & Goudreau is awesome
author: BrianThis CD has it all Boston-esque flavor on Out of My Hands and Harrison/Beatles/Blues flavored tunes throughout the disc. The three main musicians behind it are three of the best rock musicians ever and it doesn't hurt to be three absolutely great people. If you're going to buy one album this fall buy Delp & Goudreau!!!
AWESOME!
author: Richard ReevesI have really fell in love with this CD. Has a lot of bang for the buck! Good Job Barry and Brad!
Great guitar arrrangements!
author: WajdiI like the guitar arrangements on the first title. http://www.wajdicherif.com
The Way Music Should Be
author: Michael TBeing a writer myself, I have got to say this is the best music I've heard in a long time, it's back to the basic Rock the way it was meant to be heard. Two thumbs, up keep on doing what your thing is, making great music.
These guys are Pros
author: TripWe were told by a Manager/Producer that we sounded like Boston. Well, I don't think we do, but I take it as a compliment. These guys are pros and it shows. Great cd guys.
As Good As Ever
author: Bruce Lomet (CHINASKI)At once, both familiar and fresh. Delp's vocals sound as good as ever, and Goudreau still has the musical touch. This is a collection of well crafted tunes that will find a home in your CD player - right along with the classics of years past.
Best of the Best!
author: Mike SikorskyGreat rock, the way it should be done. EVERYONE should hear this cd! A real ear pleaser!
