OK, so there aren't many male jazz singers that you can name in rapid succession off the top of your head not to mention latin jazz vocalists, so... These uniquely arranged tunes will take you to New York, Brazil, San Francico and beyond!
Sometimes putting a "Latin" spin on a jazz standard is just that - and ends up lacking any credibility.
However, David Gonzalez takes Yesterdays, It Ain't Necessarily So and Roll 'Em Pedro(??) and makes it all work.
Gonzalez is an appealing singer and works very well with driving horn arrangements that sound like versions of the old Chico O'Farrill and Mario Bauza models.
