notes

Glenn Alan has been playing music professionally for about 20 years in all parts of the United States and has performed with various artists such as “Little” Jimmy Dickens, Waylon Jennings, Faron Young and others.

This song “Ready Or Not “ was inspired by a person that I met while working in Nashville Tn. that had been abducted as a child and lived to be fifty years old before he was reunited with his real mother who passed away shortly thereafter.

I do hope that everyone enjoys this single release and passes it on to someone they know in hopes that we can make people aware of the problems of “Missing Children” in our country and around the world.
You wouldn’t want this to happen to “Your Child!”

THE STORY BELOW IS TRUE AND WHAT INSPIRED THIS SONG.

This is the story about Billy Moore Hale that inspired the song "READY OR NOT". Billy was born in Kingsport, Virginia in 1937. When Billy was 4 years old he was abducted from his baby sitters house while his mother was at work. On this particular day a women name Georgia Tann who officially worked for children services. Showed up at the babysitter’s house and informed Billy’s babysitter that he was being taken in to state custody because his mother was unfit and not capable of raising Billy. Billy was then brought to Tennessee to a place similar to an orphanage on Alken Ave in Nashville. After that he and several other children were taken to a facility in Memphis, TN where he among the other children was molested on a regular basis. Billy had conveyed to me that some of these children did not survive these molestations. After a period of time Billy was then sold to a family in Auburntown, TN by the last name of Hale.

These people were under the impression that the monies they paid were normal adoption fees. Billy’s last name was then changed to Hale which at that time he was too young to know what was taking place, but from that time on he was raised by the Hale family and was never to see his real family again. Billy grew up believing that the Hale’s were his family.

After graduating high school Billy joined the Navy where he studied telecommunications. After leaving the Navy Billy lived in Portland, OR while working for a telephone company and started his own family. After Oregon Billy moved back to Tennessee by this time he was in his mid fifties and still did not know his real mother.
One night Billy got an anonymous call telling him to watch America’s Most Wanted that was going to air that night. That particular episode was about the woman {Georgia Tann} who had taken him from his mother so many years before.

It turns out that Georgia Tann had stolen over 30,000 children in the 1920's 30's and 40's along with the help of a female Judge in Memphis by the name of Camiel Kelly. The story goes that Georgia would take the children using her position with children services as a front and Judge Kelly would prepare the legal papers to place these children in their new families. It is believed that none of the people that received these children knew that there was anything illegal taking place. After that episode on America’s Most Wanted Billy started remembering bits and pieces of his childhood and what had actually happened to him. Billy then started searching for his real mother and family while becoming an advocate for the missing children foundation and America’s Most Wanted. It turns out that Billy was never reunited with his real mother before she passed away. Billy did finally locate her but it was in her final resting place in Greenland Cemetery in Murfreesboro, TN. I met Billy in the early 90’s while working for the Bellsouth telephone company at the Bellsouth tower in Nashville, TN.

Billy use to come out and listen to me play at some of my shows where I performed. Billy then asked me to write a song for the Missing Children Foundation to help make people aware of the ongoing nightmare those mothers and fathers are still enduring while their children are still being abducted and abused. So I went to work writing this composition in hopes that it might play a part in helping to bring some of our missing children home to their parents and families. I along with my record label Sound Dawg Records are donating a portion of the proceeds from this song to the missing children foundation. You all can also help by purchasing this album with the song "READY OR NOT" you can find where to download it at www.myspace.com/glennalan1 . Billy Hale Moore passed away shortly after finding his mothers resting place and had not gotten to hear this final composition of this song but I know his heart, soul and spirit is still busy helping with this ongoing nightmare.

Love ya Billy Sincerely Glenn Alan
