Thank you for checking out Wellsprings. This music flowed out of our own experiences and from many years of playing improvisational music together, to the point that each one of us became able to react perfectly to the other's musical ideas. Nothing in these tracks was written down; this is a recording of an authentic musical conversation between two experienced musicians, as they expressed what they were going through in their lives.
In the Summer of 1993, Jack and I started getting together every Sunday evening to record these tracks. From the beginning, we decided that this would be a simple and honest production, with no additional help and no effects added.
It took us the whole year and then some, recording several takes of each track directly into digital audio tape, one tape per track. At the end, we reviewed all the takes and picked up ones we felt were the best. The result is an album that speaks directly to the listener, as if we were playing in your living room.
Wellsprings was released in cassette format on 1995, then re-released as a CD in 1997. Many years have passed since, but this album is still a favourite of ours. We're very excited about making it available on the Web, hoping that it will help the wonderful power of its peaceful music to a larger audience.
The words on the cover are from Psalm 104:10-13:
Wellsprings:
He sends forth springs in the valleys;
They give drink to every living being.
He waters the mountains from his upper chambers;
The earth is satisfied with the fruit of his works.

Good relaxing music to program by
author: Rick StabileMy multi-talented colleague, Glauber Ribeiro, is selling copies of his piano and flute CD, Wellsprings. He recorded it in 1991, but it’s still good relaxing music to program by.

really enjoyable album. This is music to be listened to as if listening to a recital. It is full of delights and not a few surprises such as the unmistakable breathy, rhythmic,Irish tinwhistle styling on track 1,the breathtaking tapestry on track 7, and on track 9,by dint of lilting runs and trills we appear to be longing wistfully for some happy place, some ultimate place, the world to come, Dear G-D let it be soon, the age of messiah.
Very soothing without being lame
author: Mike PerlowinFirst, the musicianship is first rate. These guys can really play. The music is meditation music. Soothing and relazing. Something to unwind with after a tense day. But it is NOT elevator music. Rather is is reflectoive, maditative music designed to take you to a calmer and more relaxed emotional space.

A touching collection of well composed and played Vision
author: Bob Walters"Wellsprings" is a Raw inspirational driven CD that highlights both the talent of each instrument and the composition. I applaud the Artists.

A wonderfully uplifting, yet relaxing backdrop
author: JessieI am not a Christian, but this instrumental collection is just as touching to me as it would be if I were. Glauber's flute is lyrical and expressive, and Jack's piano perfectly supportive. I recommend this CD for relaxation, meditation, changing one's bad mood to good, or as a lovely backdrop to a family get-together or dinner. I look forward to playing it for my baby (she's due to arrive next month). Also, my husband plays piano and I play flute, so this CD encourages us to play together. Excellent and enjoyable CD.
